Cassandra's POV

Lumipat kaming lahat sa bahay ni dad. Kahit na nanghihina ako ay pinilit ko na tumayo at agad naman akong inalalayan ni Jake hanggang sa makarating kami sa sala.

Lahat ay naririto. Ang big four at ang mga kaibigan ko. Nandito rin sila Harmonie at Nathan. Lahat ay bigla at gulat dahil sa nangyari kanina lamang.

Tinignan ko ang kamay ko. Hanggang ngayon ay wala akong maramdaman na kahit na anong kapangyarihan doon.

Tinignan ko ang lahat na naghanap ng kani-kanilang pwesto. Nang maayos na ang lahat ay tumayo na si Ms. Clever sa harap at tinignan kaming lahat.

"I always hate this part you know," sabi n'ya habang nakatingin sa tatlong kaibigan.

Bumuntong-hininga s'ya. "This world has a lot of history to tell. We weren't here without a purpose. The triple moon goddesses didn't create this world just for us to show off our powers or use them against each other," panimula ni Ms. Clever.

"Years ago, the war between the Quins and the Incants brought not only trauma and change but also resurrected a long-forgotten past. You see, this war between the two cities wasn't the first battle in the magic world's history," dagdag na sabi ni Ms. Clever.

Natigilan ako sa narinig. Inangat ko ang paningin ko kila Belle at halata na pati sila ay gulat rin sa nalaman.

Ito ay isa sa mga impormasyon na hindi gaano tinatalakay sa history class. Na tila ba isa itong kasaysayan na kailangang ibaon sa limot. Isang kasaysayan na walang may gustong balikan at pag-usapan man lang.

"The great war of the five," sabi ni dad.

Lahat kami ay napatingin sa kaniya nang sabihin iyon. Tinignan n'ya naman si Ms. Clever na parang sinasabi na magpatuloy s'ya.

"That's right. The Great War of the Five Founders, the ones who shaped and governed the magic world. It was this very war that led to the creation of the Sorcerer's Curse."

"What do you mean exactly?" si Jake.

Dumiin ang titig ni Ms. Clever dito. "I can't really tell everything," sabi n'ya.

"What? Why?" tanong ni Belle.

"Hilldorn Krowler Lindover," sagot ni Ms. Clever.

Nangunot naman ang noo ko sa narinig. Sino naman kaya iyon?

"The former headmaster of the academy," sabi ni Jake.

"What about him?" I asked.

Napatingin sa direksyon ko si Ms. Clever. "The former headmaster once guarded a special book, stating it had to be protected until the right moment arrived. After he passed the position to me, the Big Four became aware of its significance. Mr. Hilldorn was the only living bloodline of the great Gabriel Amaury Oxtrover Lindover who happened to be the founder of Goblin."
