The school gym buzzes with excitement as everyone gears up for the annual sports event, where the rivalry between two teams reaches its peak. This year, things are particularly intense since your oldest brother, Jin is the captain of the Blue Hawks, while your second brother, Yoongi, plays for the Red Eagles.
As the designated "sibling cheerleader," you find yourself caught in a whirlwind of blue and red—each brother adamant that you support their team exclusively.
The day starts with both teams holding pep rallies, and you decide to attend both to show your support. You head to the Blue Hawks' rally first, where your oldest brother stands on stage, rallying the crowd. "We've trained hard for this, and I want to hear you all cheering! Let's bring home the trophy!" he shouts, the crowd erupting in applause.
Feeling energized, you cheer loudly, only to find yourself in an awkward position when you rush over to the Red Eagles' rally right after. Your second brother is also rallying the crowd. "We're ready to crush the competition! Who's with us?" he yells, and you cheer again, but this time a little more hesitantly, trying not to show favoritism.
The conflict becomes evident during lunch. You sit at a table with both brothers, wearing a half-and-half shirt you'd made—one side blue, the other red.
"This is ridiculous," your oldest brother says, eyeing your shirt with a mix of amusement and annoyance. "You need to pick a side!"
"I'm supporting both of you!" you insist, grinning. "It's possible to cheer for both teams, you know."
"Not in this rivalry," your second brother argues, crossing his arms. "You have to choose, or you're just going to confuse everyone!"
As the day goes on, you attend a practice for each team, trying to stay neutral. At the Blue Hawks' practice, you're tasked with holding the water bottles. "C'mon, don't spill! This is my big game!" your oldest brother teases, throwing a water bottle at you playfully.
Then you head to the Red Eagles' practice, where your second brother insists you help him with his plays. "You've got to show me how to do this right! No pressure!" he laughs, as you try to demonstrate a few moves.
By the time the big game arrives, the school is split down the middle—half in blue, half in red. You're decked out in your half-and-half attire, holding up a sign that reads, "Go Hawks! Go Eagles!"
As the game begins, the tension rises. You find yourself bouncing between cheering for the Blue Hawks and the Red Eagles, resulting in confused looks from classmates and more than a few eye rolls from your brothers.
During halftime, both brothers converge on you, panting from the game. "Seriously, you can't keep this up," your oldest brother says, trying to catch his breath. "You've got to pick a side for the second half!"
"Okay, okay! I'll cheer for the winner!" you declare dramatically, eliciting laughter from both sides.
As the second half kicks off, the competition becomes fiercer. You watch with wide eyes as the teams battle it out, both brothers giving it their all. In the final moments, your second brother scores a crucial point for the Red Eagles, and you can't help but jump up and cheer, your loyalty momentarily swaying.
After the final whistle blows, the Blue Hawks narrowly win. You rush over to your oldest brother, wrapping him in a hug. "You did it!" you exclaim, and he beams with pride.
Your second brother, who's still catching his breath, laughs and shakes his head. "Next time, I'm winning for sure. But I guess you can cheer for me when I do."
As the celebrations begin, you realize that the rivalry brought you all closer, despite the chaos. With laughter and playful banter filling the air, you bask in the warmth of family, knowing that no matter who wins or loses, you'll always be there to cheer them on—one slice of pizza at a time.
