You walked into SHIELD and happily sighed when you saw the mission group getting off the Helicarrier. You'd had a crush on Steve for a while now and him being your best friend didn't make it easier when he left for missions.
'(Y/L/N)!' You heard someone shout causing you to snap out of your daze.
'Rogers!' You said happily running over to him.
You hugged him tightly and heard his breathing hitch.
'Are you injured?' You asked pulling away.
He rubbed his neck awkwardly and cast his eyes at the ground.
'What happened?' You asked anxiously.
He lifted his shirt slightly and you saw a thick piece of gauze.
'You got shot?' You snapped.
He smiled lightly at your concern but was snapped out of it when you dragged him away towards the medical center.
'(Y/N), I'm fine.' He mumbled.
You threw him onto the medical table and let the doctors check him.
'He's fine.' Bruce said after a moment.
You nodded your head as he hopped of the table and walked over to you.
'Why're you so concerned?' He asked.
'Well, you're my best friend and I love-' You stopped yourself.
He rushed over and took your hands in his.
'You love what?' He asked.
You blushed furiously under his gaze and finally met his blue orbs.
'I-I love Shawarma.' You mumbled.
His face fell slightly and you walked towards the exit.
'That's to bad because I love you.' He called after you.
You almost skid to a stop but instead turned around and sputtered at him.
'What?'
'(Y/N), I love you.' He said walking closer.
You swallowed deeply at this dream come true before you spoke.
'I love you too, Steve.' You replied.
He smiled wide and hugged you tight before spinning your both around happily.
'Ow-' He said rubbing his wound.
'Take it easy, Lover Boy.' You said laughing lightly as you lead him to your local Shawarma joint, you really did love the Levantine Arab food.
