CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Jacerys

Winterfell

*SMUT WARNING*

With my chest rising and falling with the same strength as the waves in the sea there had been a flood of anger rushing through my body. Coursing through my veins as my now former best friend and my... my Alana had been snogging in the middle of the woods.

Steffon Bolton had directed me out here. Telling me that Alana wanted to ride horses so Lord Cregan had taken her to the Wolf's Wood so as not humiliate her and her poor skill in front of everyone in Winterfell.

Stepping out here I half expected to see them fighting or screaming in each other's faces. I thought I knew Alana well enough to know that Cregan is not her type. From the letters that Lord Cregan had sent to my mother saying he was going to send her back to Dragonstone I truly did not expect to see his arms wrapped around her while he slowly lifts the hem of her tunic and her hands on his face.

They had stared at each other with a look of love. A look that I had thought I'd only seen Alana look at me with. But I was wrong. I was so fucking wrong. I wanted to grab her by the arm and yank her out of his arms after I'd just flown all the way here in an instant to be with her. To get the fuck away from Mother and be free with the woman I love.

And she's wrapped in Cregan's fucking arms.

"Vermax is fast." I turn to Alana and glare at her. "You should know that. I heard you were in trouble and needed me to come and save you. So, I'm here. And I'm taking you back to Dragonstone. No need to wait for a ship from White Harbor."

Cregan rose to his feet quickly and took a long stride toward me. Confusion written across his brow that furrowed and glare that narrowed in on me. "Your mother said nothing of you taking Alana back so quickly. She said you'd try to sway my decision."

I scoff and laugh with anger. "Right, right. My mother says many of things but why should my sister be somewhere she is clearly not wanted? Unless..."

"I still have two weeks with her." Cregan argued as he crossed his arms. "The betrothal may be over but the deal is that you being here is to try to sway me into wanting her longer. So... Sway me."

Ignoring him, I step over to where Alana is standing. Her hands shaking and hair completely a mess. Dirt on the side of her cheek that I wipe off with my thumb. "Are you hurt? Did you fall from the horse?"

She nods. "It didn't hurt but I did fall... Lord Cregan caught me."

Of course he fucking did. "Well, why don't we head back to the castle. Get you washed up of course. You and I have private matters to discuss."

"You can discuss matters in front of me." Cregan stated with a firm voice. "I'm the Lord of Winterfell and she is still under my-"

"Under your what? Please clarify that for me, Lord Stark, because as far as I am concerned you broke the betrothal so she is under no sort of contract with you. We are outside in the woods so we are not under your roof... If you even try to argue she's under your care then consider yourself as off duty. I will take care of my sister for now. Many of thanks."

Cregan was silenced and grabbed the reigns of the horse. "Princess." He grit at her as she looked at him. A glow in her eyes that made my lip snarl and stomach turn.

We let him get many of paces ahead of us so that he'd be out of earshot. Thankfully so because the moment she felt comfortable she asked me how Joffrey had been. If he'd been doing well with his lessons and learning to read. If his dragon had grown and how much. How tall was Joffrey now?

The questions she asked all pertained to him and that made some of the anger in my bones dissipate. Cregan had soon vanished into the stables and I rounded the back with Alana. Leaning against the stone wall of the building and had my head turned to look at her as she did the same, turning to look over at me.

Alana had looked completely different from how I'd ever know her. She was wearing riding gear which I'd never seen her wear before. Her hair messy and tendrils falling around the frame of her face while her braid looked as though she'd toyed with it all day.

"You like him, don't you." I muttered.

She shook her head quickly. "He's not you."

"And that's why you like him." I scoff. "Because it's easier to be with him-"

"Today was the first time we did not spew words of pure venom at one another, Jace. He was trying to teach me to mount and ride a horse. That is all." She stood by her words and would not break or bend. I gave her an unsatisfied nod. "Do not make that face at me, Jacerys."

"Or what?"

"Or I'll have to kiss it off of you."

I continued to make the face although it consisted of fighting back the urge to smile. I wanted to kiss her ever so badly. From the moment I touched down in Winterfell and knew that I was only moments away from seeing her my plan had been to just scoop her into my arms and save her away from all of this.

She glanced quickly around to be sure no one was there and no one was looking when she placed her hand to my chest and kissed my lips tenderly. The taste of wine filling my mouth as her tongue broke through where my mouth had parted in the slightest bit. I missed her. I missed tasting her and having my mouth full of her.

"Alana..." I purred into her mouth and she looked at me with those fucking doe eyes that drive me insane. Giving me a nod. "Come, I know a spot where no one will find us. Just for a few moments."

I remembered from the last time I was here there was an old shed way in the back. No one dared go into it because they feared what type of rodents would have nested in it. There hadn't been any last time I'd been in there.

Cobwebs had been the only thing that had formed and a few spiders and moths. It was dark with windows that were shattered slightly and a barrel of old water that stunk of piss and old ale. I closed the door carefully and Alana looked around terrified.

"Is this where you plan to kill me?"

I don't answer her right away. I take her into my arms and kiss her like I'd never kissed her before. It's only been weeks since the last time I'd seen her but by the Gods I needed her. I craved her for so long.

"Get those fucking pants off." I tell her and she shakes her head at me. "What? Scared Cregan will find out? Why's it matter. He's sending you off anyhow."

"Jace..."

"Don't tell me you've fallen for him."

Shaking her head she swallows hard. "No but I... I just don't feel comfortable doing this in his home."

"We're not in his home. We're in a dirty old shed." I smirk and move her braid to fall down her back. I don't like her hair coming down over her body. "Come on... Just a little bit of fun before we go home together... And you and I can wed and there will be nothing that anyone can do to stop us. We can wed and claim Joffrey in the public eye."

"I don't want that." Alana says looking down. "I don't want to leave here on bad terms with Lord Cregan. It wouldn't be fair to him to feel so deceived and betrayed. I want you to go home, Jace, I want you to go home and let me figure this out... I want to someday be able to be honest with him. Can you please let that happen?"

I swallow hard. "Alana.. I suppose I can. I just-"

She whips off my belt and gets down on her knees. "I have my bleed by the way but... I can still give you some pleasure."

"Alana, this is not going to fix-"

The feeling of her mouth wrapped around me causes me to forget all that has started to go wrong. The jealousy that I'd felt when she'd been wrapped around Lord Cregan. It's all faded away.
