The rise of Tartarus

Chapter 19

Leo didn't know how to feel. He was scared as hell, but the food was awesome.

They were sitting at an Italian restaurant called "Ze Warniara." Leo didn't know what that meant, but man the food was good. Grover sat next to him happily munching on his calzone, and his paper plate.

Frank sat in front of him, picking at his chicken alfredo pasta.

"So..." Leo started,

"We need to get back to the ship." Frank growled.

"Whoa, who woke up on the wrong side of the bed today?" Leo muttered.

Frank sighed, "Sorry, it's just that the prophecy, it's pretty bad. Though it must be worse for you."

That was true. In total, Leo didn't really know how to feel. He felt like this while they were sailing to fight the giants one final time. He could die at any moment. But why be glum when you could die. If Leo was to die, he would die making one final corny and cheesy joke. 

"Alright then," Leo got up and wiped his hands, "Let's head back to hometown."

The Wanderer was the hometown actually. They hustled and jostled through the crowds, until they finally reached the ship. Though as the approached closer, Leo's heart sank. There were dead bodies in the water. He hoped that his friends weren't one of them.

"What happened?" Grover cried, and rushed to the ship. 

Leo and Frank ran as fast as they could, and then thankfully they saw Hazel, Thalia, Clarisse  alive. Hazel seemed okay, but Thalia had arrows sticking out of her limbs. She groaned whenever Hazel tried to force-feed her ambrosia. Clarisse was grumbling to herself, even though she had a sword wound that soaked her shirt red.

"Thank gods!" Frank rushed to Hazel and kissed her.

Thalia groaned, "Where is Reyna and Nico?"

Leo looked at Clarisse and Hazel. Clarisse just looked even more enraged, but Hazel had tears in her eyes.

"Nico is down the ship," Hazel sniffled, " But Reyna-"

Hazel broke down into sobs and began crying uncontrollably. 

"Wait wait, what happened to Reyna," Leo asked. He was on the verge of panic.

"Pirates attacked us. Reyna, that bastard, she put a bomb on their own ship and blew the ship, and herself flying." Clarisse said.

Leo raised his eyebrow. Frank looked stunned.

"So where is she?" Frank asked.

"I have no idea," Hazel answered.

"It's okay. Reyna always knows how to survive." Leo began, "If anyone can survive alone, it's either her, Annabeth, or me." Leo smirked.

"Shut up Valdez." Thalia snapped.

"What I'm getting at," Leo continued, ignoring Thalia," -is that we should keep going. Reyna would want us to do that. She'd probably do the same thing if I were in her position." 

"That's because no one likes you Leo," Clarisse said calmly.

'A-alright," Hazel managed.

So soon, with Leo as the captain, they continued their quest to Siberia
