Two hearts, bound by the same chains.
The sun; burning everything in its wake
An everlasting flame that follows them close.
With a heart so bright, to hold it is to be blind.
To love the sun is to burn with a smile.
The moon; who suffers in silence.
Never forgetting the cause of their craters.
A constant reminder of their past and future.
To be damned by the stars to remain alone.
Every morning the sun will rise again
And every evening the moon will follow
Never to reach the brightest star in the sky.
Never to be reached by the one who chases flames.
For years the chase will continue
Always so close, yet so far
A cycle of madness and misery.
A reason to keep rising.
And then one day, the unexplainable happened
The sun slowed its descent
The moon met the star they've chased.
And the world seemed so small.
The moon no longer felt so dim
And the sun didn't burn it either.
For just a moment, peace settled between the two souls.
But just as suddenly as it'd happened; the sun had to set, to leave the moon.
Maybe one day, the sun will stay.
