Tonight, you were working on some school work, all alone on One Direction's tour bus. The five boys had wanted to go out for a meal, but you'd told them you would rather complete some school stuff while you had the chance. So, that's what you did.

You'd gotten through all that was left from the week's workload, and now you were relaxing and reading your current novel; The Hunger Games. Just when you were about to start a new chapter, a booming clap of thunder made you jump in your seat. Although you were thirteen years old, thunderstorms scared you out of your mind when you were alone. Hoping it would only be one single bang of thunder, you ignored the disruption and continued on with your book. Until another loud boom made you gasp, and then a third put goosebumps all over your body.

"That's it." You grumbled to yourself, your voice a little shaky. Usually you would just call your brother at this point, and cling to him throughout the entire storm. You didn't want to interrupt his free night out with his friends. Besides, he doesn't even know about your fear of storms, much les do the boys. So, you decided to just hide in the bunk room.

Getting up from the red U-shaped couch and closing your book, you quickly made your way to the bunks and dove into the first one you saw, which happened to be Louis'. You shut the curtain and closed your eyes, wishing the storm would die down. A few more minutes of slow thunder, and soon there was lighting. Then rain, then wind, and to top it all off, nobody was answering their phones when you tried to call for some company, finally giving into your fear.

After what seemed like hours, you heard the tour bus door open, and hoped someone had come back from the restaurant.
"It's probably just the wind..." you mumbled to yourself, doubtful and more frightened than before. You covered your body with the bed's sheets and buried your face deep under the covers. Frustrated and terrified, you sniffled quietly and let salty tears roll down your cheeks, fed up with the unfair timing of the poor weather.

"Y/n? Are you in here?" Finally! Just when you were beginning to feel hopeless, there was a muffled voice coming from the bunk room hall.
"In here!" You squeaked, not moving a muscle. Thumping footsteps could be heard as they grew closer to your spot, and then a large hand pulled the blankets off of your face. It was Louis.

"Aw, babe. Come here," he sympathized, easily scooping you into a straddling position with your legs around his waist and arms around his neck, face hidden in his chest. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"Doesn't matter. Just stay with me, please?" you asked, and you could feel Louis smiling.

"Of course," he answered, carrying you back out to the black lounge. To you surprise, there were four other boys in the room, waiting for you and Louis to join them.

"Oh, hi, guys," you wiped your face and tried to hide in Louis' neck, ashamed to be crying over a storm in front of your brother's friends. Louis chuckled, sitting between Niall and Zayn whilst keeping you on his lap. You refused to look at the boys out of sheer embarrassment, and it seemed they could tell.

"Scared of storms, y/n?" Niall asked, and you sighed, snuggling deeper into the comfort of your older brother's embrace. You didn't want these four boys, who were so close to your brother and sort of close to you, to know one of your most personal and humiliating secrets. Harry snickered, only making you feel worse for being laughed at, though you knew he probably didn't mean it like that.

"I'm scared of the dark, you know? I've never liked being alone in the dark... freaks me out," Zayn admitted, quite obviously trying to make you feel better. But when the wind was howling, thunder was screaming, rain was pounding on the roof and every inch of your being was focused on how scared you were, almost nothing could make you feel better.

"I'm going to bed," you muttered under your breath, barely audible. You swung your feet to the ground and lifted yourself off your brother's lap, retreating to the bunk room. Not even two seconds after you'd closed the main curtain to the bunk room, someone pushed it back again. Louis. You just stood there in the doorway, looking at him. Then without warning, a bright flash of lightning lit up the room, followed by a huge clang of thunder. It was enough to make you flinch. You sighed again, though it came out as more of a frightened whimper, and climbed into your bunk above Louis'. You hastily pulled your curtain shut, curled into a ball and tried to ignore his presence.

"Not so fast, babe," Louis chuckled. You wondered what he was talking about when suddenly you were yanked from your bed, causing you to let out a surprised yelp. He carried you over his shoulder to the red lounge, which was converted to a king-sized bed, and plopped you down on the soft surface. You looked up and saw Louis smirking at you, then he flung himself onto the bed beside you.

"What the heck, Louis...?" You questioned, and before your brother could answer, another loud boom of thunder had your eyes wide and your body covered with fresh goosebumps. Louis laughed at you, earning a glare. One more round of thunder and you'd finally given up, scrunching yourself into a fetal position and closing your eyes.

"Alright, alright! I'm scared, okay? Just leave me alone if you're going to laugh at me." You whispered the last part, feeling undignified and discomforted. You felt a warm hand reach around your shoulder and scoot you towards an awaiting embrace. You opened your slightly watery eyes and saw a pair of familiar sky blue orbs gazing back at you, a soft smile on the sweet boy's face. Louis held you against his chest and you buried your face in his neck, your head under his chin.

"I've got you, y/n. You're safe."
