Liam (2) BSM - Sick

"Hold on, baby, I'm coming!" Liam called to his little sister, hearing her miserable cries coming from the lounge room. He hurriedly finished scooping the soup he'd made for her into a bowl and made his way to the crib he'd left her in. Y/n reached up for his embrace, wailing and coughing at the same time.

"Aw, bubba. You're really sick, huh?" Liam cradled Y/n in his arms until her crying was reduced to sniffles, then sat her down in her highchair. "Are you hungry? I've made you some soup, here." He tried to spoon a mouthful to her, but she grizzled and nearly knocked it out of his hand. "Oh, woops. You're not hungry for soup? What about some fruit?" Liam offered, and Y/n shook her head, whining and attempting to wiggle out of her seat.

"I don't think you're hungry, then," Liam chuckled, lifting Y/n back onto his hip and walking to the kitchen. Y/n whined and sucked her thumb, blinking slowly and looking as if she could fall asleep at any moment. "You're tired, bub? Do you want to nap?" Liam asked, and he immediately knew the answer when Y/n burst into tears and shook her head furiously, resting her head on his shoulder and sobbing her little heart out, still snotty and spluttering every few cries.

"I know what you need, baby," Liam told her, his voice soft and reassuring. He filled a sippy cup with warm milk, despite knowing milk isn't good for when you're sick, and carried Y/n back to the lounge room. He laid down on the couch with Y/n on his chest and draped a blanket over the two of them. Y/n continued whimpering helplessly as Liam turned the tv on and started playing Toy Story 1. Within minutes, Y/n had calmed down and her whimpers were only every so often. Liam wiped her nose and dried her teary eyes, snuggling her into him as they watched the movie together.

"All better, baby..." he cooed.
