The next dayThe train station in Harajuku was buzzing with activity. Travelers rushed by, and the sound of conversations and distant music filled the air. Y/n stood beside Megumi, feeling a strange mix of excitement and anxiety. It had only been five days since she had arrived at Jujutsu Tech, and now they were meeting the final member of their first-year group.
Yuji leaned against a nearby post, munching on a popsicle, looking out at the busy Harajuku station. "How are there only four first-years? That's practically nothing."
Megumi sighed, crossing his arms as he glanced at Yuji. "Think about it. Can you honestly say you've ever met someone else who can see curses?"
Yuji paused, considering the question. "Huh, guess not," he admitted before taking another bite of his popsicle.
"Exactly. Jujutsu sorcerers are rare," Megumi replied, his tone matter-of-fact.
Yuji frowned slightly, still confused. "Didn't you say I was the fourth first-year though?"
Megumi nodded. "The others' admissions were decided a while ago. You know what our school's like—everyone has unique circumstances." His gaze shifted toward the station as if expecting the new student any moment.
Y/n, standing next to Megumi, took in the information and felt a little more at ease knowing she wasn't the last to join. "So, we're meeting her here in Harajuku? Any reason why this spot?" she asked, curious about the location.
Megumi shrugged. "She requested it. Not sure why, though."
Yuji grinned, finishing the last of his popsicle. "Maybe she's a big fan of shopping. Harajuku's the place for it, right?"
Y/n smiled, appreciating Yuji's laid-back attitude, but the anticipation still gnawed at her. She wondered what this new student would be like and how she'd fit into their unusual group.
Yuji was tugging at the hem of his new school-issued hoodie, marveling at how perfectly it fit him. "Yeah, they got my style incorporated into it. The red makes me pop, you know?" Yuji grinned, his hand brushing the fabric as if it were some sort of prized possession.
Gojo, standing nearby with his usual carefree smile, chimed in. "I knew you'd like it! The school uniforms are customizable to each sorcerer's taste. I personally designed yours, Yuji. Figured you'd appreciate the hood—gives you that 'cool' factor, right?"
Yuji's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, you designed this?" He tugged at the hood, admiring it again. "Well, I guess you nailed it, Gojo-sensei. It's definitely my style."
Y/n couldn't help but smile at the exchange. Yuji's enthusiasm was contagious, even if the situation felt far too relaxed given the mission they were about to take on.
Megumi, however, didn't seem as amused. He leaned against a nearby railing, arms crossed, his eyes scanning the station. "Just be careful. Gojo has a bad habit of throwing in surprises," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
Yuji waved off the warning. "I think I'm safe in a hoodie. Plus, it fits so well. What could go wrong?"
Gojo laughed, clapping Yuji on the shoulder. "Exactly! Trust your sensei. Now, we're here waiting because Nobara wanted to meet at the station. She's our fourth first-year. So, hang tight!"
Moments later, Y/n spotted her. A girl, standing in the middle of the busy plaza, was loudly arguing with a man who seemed to be scouting for models. "What do you mean I'm not model material?" the girl—Nobara—shouted, gesturing dramatically at herself. "I'm obviously gorgeous!"
