Y/n stood in front of the imposing gates of Jujutsu High, her heart pounding in her chest. She had agreed to come, but now that she was here, uncertainty weighed heavily on her. This wasn't just any school—it was a place for sorcerers, people who could see curses and fight them. People like her brother Yuta. People like Megumi.
She clutched the small duffel bag in her hand, the only thing she had packed for this new life. Her mind was still swirling with everything that had happened in the last few months—the car crash, the attack, the coma. And now she was here, ready to start over. But was she really ready?
The dormitories loomed ahead, nestled at the edge of the school's sprawling grounds. They were older buildings, but well-kept, surrounded by trees that swayed gently in the breeze. The campus was eerily quiet, the weight of the supernatural ever-present. Y/n felt it pressing down on her like a shadow, always reminding her that this place wasn't ordinary. Nothing about her life was anymore.
"Excited?"
Y/n jumped, startled by the sudden voice. Gojo Satoru appeared beside her, his trademark grin plastered on his face. His blindfold was in place, but she could feel his eyes on her, amused by her nervousness.
"Not the word I'd use," she muttered, clutching the strap of her duffel tighter.
Gojo chuckled. "You'll be fine. Trust me, Jujutsu High is going to change your life in more ways than one."
Y/n wasn't sure if that was meant to reassure her or make her more anxious. She took a deep breath and nodded, knowing that this was the only way forward.
Gojo led her through the gates and toward the dorms. As they walked, Y/n felt the weight of the building settles around her. She could sense the energy of the place, the faint hum of curses that had been fought and exorcised here over the years. It was a strange feeling—both comforting and unnerving.
"We've got your room all ready," Gojo said as they reached the entrance of the dormitory. He pushed the door open with a flourish, gesturing for her to follow. "You'll be staying on the second floor. And, by pure coincidence, your room just happens to be right next to someone you know."
Y/n raised an eyebrow, sensing the mischievous undertone in his voice. "Who?"
Gojo grinned wider. "Megumi, of course."
Y/n's heart skipped a beat. "What?"
"It was the only available room," Gojo said with a shrug, though his tone was anything but casual. "Totally not planned or anything."
Y/n wasn't sure if she wanted to groan or laugh. Of course, it was Gojo's doing. He had a knack for meddling in things that didn't concern him. But even as she tried to be annoyed, a part of her couldn't help but feel a bit of curiosity—maybe even something more.
Megumi.
The boy who had once treated her with nothing but cold indifference, who had mocked her for being weak and strange, had somehow become a presence in her life she couldn't ignore. After what happened—the curse attack, his unexpected rescue—things between them had changed. Or maybe it was just her that had changed.
Y/n tried to shake the thoughts from her mind as Gojo led her upstairs. The dormitory hallways were quiet, and her footsteps echoed softly against the wooden floors. As they reached the second floor, Gojo stopped in front of a door marked with a simple brass number.
"Here you are. Room 204," he said, pushing the door open for her. "Megumi's is right there—" he pointed to the door next to hers, "—so feel free to bug him whenever you like."
Y/n gave him a pointed look, but he only winked before turning to leave. "Get settled in, and if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. You've got a good support system here."
