Hiromi places a bowl of steamy ramen onto the table in front of me as my eyes hover over the broth-y, tasty looking dish as my stomach begins to growl. I haven't eaten since this morning I could devour ten of these.

I begin to dig in as I watch from the corner of my eye as Hiromi is smiling at me, focusing intently on me. I continue to eat, ignoring his gaze as I close my eyes at the thought of a warm meal... somehow reminded of me of, Itsuki.

I guess maybe I just miss him... and his cooking for me. This food is delicious, but for some reason I feel as if something is missing. I continue to eat as the rain falls heavily on the roof above us, creating peace within my mind. Rain is calming sometimes.

"How is it?"
His sudden words slightly frighten me as I jump causing him to chuckle.
"It's- it's good." I stutter as I place my utensils aside.
"You don't have to be nervous, I'm surprised someone with powers like yours could ever be anxious."

Little does he know...
"I'm fine! I'm just shaken up still about the whole Asa thing... I've never seen a dead body." I say trailing off, unknowingly opening up to him.
"Death is never easy. For anyone, you can only try to work through it... then one day it might get better."

I soften my posture as I feel as if my memories and emotions all hit me at once... tears begin to swell but before I'm able to comprehend my thoughts he interrupts me.
"I know who you are... I can't pretend I don't anymore."

Suddenly my chest twists... what's he saying? Is he saying what I think he's saying?
"After I met you at the lounge I did a lot of digging... and I found out who you were... I'm sorry I..." I cut him off in a fit of anger.
"Sorry for what? Snooping? I'm sure you are." I cross my arms as I stand up to face him.

He looks away from me as he begins to scratch the back of his neck.
"That's why I want you to be able to protect yourself... until then I can protect you." He grips my arms softly with his hands as my eyes widen at his sudden touch.

I close my eyes as I sigh.
"You really just don't get it." I narrow my eyes at him as I pull away from him. I'm tired of everyone treating me like I'm a child, like I'm helpless... I'll show them.

I make my way down the hallway as I go inside the bathroom and shut the door behind me. I can't face him right now... I can't face anything right now... the only thing I want, is to fall asleep in Itsuki's arms. I close my eyes as I sigh out in frustration at my current situation.

Why can't I stop thinking about a Itsuki? My thoughts linger, after a while I finally cool my mind off from the conversation with Hiromi as I let myself out of the bathroom walking towards the kitchen.

As I'm walking down the hallway I stop dead in my tracks as my eyes widen to the scene unfolding in front of me. My heart begins to race as I'm face to face with Hiromi standing in the living room, shirtless.

His attention is facing away from me, but as I take a step back the wood on the floor creaks as a gasp escapes my lips. Suddenly Hiromi teleports right in front of me as he narrows his eyebrows at me closing the space between us.

"You enjoying the view?" He raises his eyebrow as my cheeks burn bright red.
"W-what? No." I let my hair fall over my face in an attempt to hide my blushing.

He begins to chuckle as he turns away from me and walks over to the couch, ignoring me. I begin to pout at his nonchalant attitude. He falls onto the couch as he deeply sighs out.
"Guest bedroom is down the hall to the right, it's all yours." He smiles as he places his hands behind his head and starts to get comfortable.
