~Raya~

"Kate, wake up!"

She hummed in her duvet. I ran myself a cold bath, much needed shock therapy for my brain and body after they acted entirely opposite at the same moment. My mind was still running towards Liam, his whiskey eyes, thin beckoning lips that he bites often. His hardened jaws, muscled chest, and the strength in those forearms that wrapped my waist. I am wet and dripping in a cold shower. Not from water though.

I exited the bathroom only to see Kate staring at me. "What? "I said. "You are acting strangely," she replied, narrowing her gaze. Her brows raised, eyes hinting at the mystery, and lips twisted up, forming a pout. I know that look! That makes my words slip from my tongue before my brain registers them. My brain is kind of hardwired to respond to that look of hers.

"I am little restless, that's all. Maybe it's jetlag !!". She chuckled softly. "I've noticed you staring at Liam. I know he is hot, but your body reacts like it's on fire. He is a human gal; you can have casual things with him. With your brother's not watching, you can make a move, you know. He is tempting too," trailing her words.

She left for the bathroom grabbing her clothes, while I weighed her words. I can have a casual fling. Its harmless. In school, I was never the one who felt tempted by male attention. Neither at those parties that Alpha's host at the pack house. Most of the male wolves in the pack stay away from me, as I am Alpha's sister. This could be my only chance. I dried myself and searched my bag for my most beautiful and ten-on-ten dress to enhance my appearance.

We both got ready and exited our room and waited in the lounge area of the hotel. Simon was the one to spot us and said, "Hello, feel free to grab some coffee."

"Do you really think he's human?" I whispered in Kate's ear with a coffee mug in hand. She smiled broadly and flipped her phone, opening Facebook. I was shocked to see Liam's page. "Still, that doesn't confirm Kate. Our scents are glamoured, thus we can't smell him, but that doesn't mean they are human, "I remarked. She scrolled further down and held it to my face, saying, "He attends Nieth College, one of the top two universities. It is well-known among humans. No supernatural would be studying there ".

"Ahh" was the only response my brain gave.

We were shown into Safari jeeps in early morning hours, with Rachel, Kate, and me sitting in one while waiting for the other two occupants. It was cold, but not cold enough for wolves. My neck pricked at a sensation unknown to me, and I turned to find my gaze clashing with whiskey eyes. He ascended and took a seat beside me. And his friend sat down next to Rachel, saying "Hello" and waved to both of us.

That's when I realized that this had been their only option for sitting. And Liam whispered, "Hello, Raya." A jolt of electricity ran through me hearing him call my name. How can someone have this kind of effect? His smell is intoxicating; his body heat makes me mushy. This is not normal. Do I have any unknown diseases? That is making me go crazy. He is the one person who has the potential to send me into a mental institution. Just his presence.

Kate gave him a wave before turning around. I just managed to say "Hello."

~Liam~

"I apologize for yesterday." I said to her, "I hope you are not hurt."

She was startled before beaming sincere. "No, I'm okay.". My wolf jumped at the sight of her lips twisting into a smile. He is her pet dog. I leaned in close to her earlobe and mumbled, "It really isn't fine. You should give me a chance to make it up to you."

She shivered as my breath hit her skin but didn't turn her face. I was cherishing these moments. My wolf and I are the happiest knowing the effect of our presence on her. It felt like a small win without knowing what we won. I was blanketed in these warm thoughts when she slapped her hands at my thigh, shouting "Giraffe's!!! OMG, it's the entire family. Look at the small one ".

"It was born just a few weeks ago. Its named Luna." The ranger spoke. Raya's hand was still on my thigh while she was soaked in her surprise and awe. And I was done for. It took all my strength to keep myself from lifting her and placing her on my lap.

Arthur shouted, "Look there!!" pulling me back, and we turned.

We stopped for a quick lunch at a small cafe. Rachel briefed us on what to expect next and asked us to quickly fill ourselves with food. My eyes searched for certain someone until they spotted her.

She was in line behind Kate to the buffet. "May I invite you for dinner tonight?" I whispered in her ears as I stealthily approached her. Her body shivered with intensity that excited me. Her eyes lingered on my lips when she turned to respond. She is so fragile. She inhaled deeply, causing the ends of my lips to curl. I was savoring her response. It was my favorite sight to watch.

I swore she would reject the idea when her lips twisted in a mischievous smile. "That's fine. We don't find restaurants in jungles ". It was not a response I expected. I didn't give it much thought, but it was thrilling enough to imagine taking her out to dinner if only I succeed in finding a place here.

Her cell phone rang, interrupting my thoughts. My eyes instantly shot to her cell phone screen as her face brightened. I wondered who Kieth was when I saw his name. The male voice was audible to me. All squishy and tender for her. My wolf began pacing at his voice in my head. She took off with her phone pressed to her ear before I could respond.

How is it? Meeting you expectation? Would love to hear from you :)
