"If you are going to stay here, you are going to stay out of my way."

Roslyn wasn't happy that she'd let Sam and Dean Winchester convince her to let them stay the night. There was a perfectly good motel down the street, but they had insisted and she was too tired to fight them on it. Now, she had two dirty hunters tracking dirt and blood and god knows what else through her house.

She had changed into a new tank top and a pair of loose jeans, her hunting clothes drenched in vampire blood, and was pulling on her red docs as she watched the boys wander her apartment. She was something of a maximalist, trinkets she'd gathered over the century filled every available space and she had entire walls of records, cassettes, and photos. There wasn't an inch of empty space and it appeared that the brothers wanted to explore it all.

"Shower's in there." Roslyn pointed to the bathroom, emphasizing the fact that she would make them shower whether they wanted to or not. "You don't really get a choice in the matter. Bedroom is the last door beyond that. I'm going to ask that you not make a mess of it."

Sam looked at her with confusion shining in his eyes. "Where are you going to sleep?" It took Roslyn leveling a bored look at him for it to click. "Right, vampire."

"I would say make yourselves at home, but I'd really rather you not." Roslyn said, grabbing her phone from where she'd left it on the kitchen counter. She had countless missed calls from Koda and a handful of irritated texts from Raya. Apparently, Koda was driving her mad after locking them both in her room. At least they'd listened to Roslyn. "I'll be back in a bit, but I've got school so I'd appreciate it if you could be gone when I'm back from that."

"Where do you think you're going?" Dean asked angrily. Sam rolled his eyes at his brother and disappeared into the bathroom, clearly not wanting to get in the middle of whatever grudge match Dean was itching to start.

Roslyn froze in her tracks, a hand on the doorknob. She slowly turned to glare at Dean with as much venom as she could force into her gaze. "Not that it is any of your business, but I have a very confused boyfriend blowing up my phone and a very long story to tell him so if you could mind your business and stay out of mine that would be great."

Roslyn didn't wait for a response as she sped to her car, the doors barely making a sound behind her. For once, she drove in silence as she sped for the Townes' place. There was only one light on, Raya's, and she could see Koda's shadow pacing in front of the window. Even without her music blasting, he could recognize the sound of her engine and was at the front door before she even made it up the steps.

Koda engulfed her in a bone crushing hug, the smell of the ocean filling Roslyn's senses as she pulled him impossibly closer to her.

"You weren't answering your phone," Koda mumbled into her hair. "I thought something had happened to you."

"I'm okay, I promise."

"You took on a serial killer."

Roslyn gently pulled away from him, his brown eyes boring into hers with enough worry and relief that emotion choked her. When she finally swallowed it, she knew that the impending conversation would break one of them and she was drowning in feeling all over again.

Koda saw her struggle and gave her a resigned smile, pulling her inside.

"Mom and Dad have been asleep for hours. Head on up to Raya's room. I'll be up in a sec with coffee."

Roslyn pulled him in for a long kiss, his hands gripping her hips tight enough that she'd bruise if she were human. When she finally pulled back, Koda moved his hands to her neck, his fingers playing with the ends of her red hair.
