It was five minutes to one when the meeting was finally called a day and it was recess for all.
The employees left the room real quick after the announcement of the dispersal, their voices and gossips slowly fading away. Some people were still present in the room, some discussing about further topics, and others minding their own business. Wooyoung had already collected his stuff and was about to leave the room when suddenly, he felt a soft pat on his shoulder. He turned around.
"Care to have lunch with me, Wooyoung?"
Wooyoung's eyes immediately met the CEO's, looking at him in a soft gaze with a humble smile. Choi San, in his formal black suit, looked extra dashing today and Wooyoung wouldn't dare deny it. The taller's stare was intently fixed upon him, the latter getting heated up real quick and ending up averting the gaze.
"Y-You mean- just...er...us-"
"Yes," came the confident reply, "Also I gotta discuss certain important things about our companies too and it's time for lunch. Why not do both together, hm?"
Wooyoung hesitated for a moment, his nails scratching the file in his hand as he bit his lips in nervousness. He wasn't qhite sure what to do. For a moment, both were silent, until Wooyoung finally chose to speak.
"A-Alright- I'm ready."
"Then what's the wait for? Follow me."
Wooyoung didn't reply. He handed the files to an employee nearby and followed the CEO. San got into an elevator, followed by Wooyoung, and throughout the few seconds of the journey, the shorter of the two was getting a feeling as if gravity was doing a tremendous partiality upon him only, trying to deliberately pull him down with too much force and finally bury him into the ground.
And that was what Wooyoung actually wanted, at that point of time.
The two of them walked out of the building, a short stroll upto San's car. The CEO instantly had a small talk with the driver and soon turned around and opened the door of the passenger seat. Wooyoung was standing a few yards away from the vehicle, immobile.
"Please, Mr. Jung," San spoke, still holding the door open, his deep voice suddenly slapping Wooyoung back from his fantasy world to reality. At first, he was a little confused as for whom the door was opened. When he realised that it was for him, his jaws dropped.
"I-I- y-yeah...s-s-sure-" Wooyoung stuttered embarrassingly, as he scooted inside the seat, his heart beating faster and faster. San closed the door and soon came to the driver's seat, securing his place. No sooner had he started the car than Wooyoung whipped his head towards the car window beside him, mentally swearing to himself not to glance at the man during the entire journey.
You're here for a purpose. You're here for a purpose. You're here for a purpose. You're here for a purpose. You-
"We've arrived, Wooyoung," San spoke gently, as he edged forward to take off Wooyoung's seatbelt. Startled at the sudden touch, Wooyoung jolted and turned his head around, and that was when his eyes met San's, lips just centimeters apart.
Wooyoung was sure his heart would plop out of his mouth and land on his lap the next very moment. He could feel warmth of his breath hitting his face, and his powerful gaze resting right upon his lips. Wooyoung froze. He found himself unable to move an inch and could do nothing except helplessly stare at those sharp eyes trying to eat him up without actually eating.
