i guess it was a lot of wishing,
that got us here,
and not much fact-checking.
we tossed pennies in a pool,
our little wishes,
and expected them to turn into reality.
but that's all they are,
and all they'll ever be;
pennies,
wishes made for ourselves.
we took them for facts,
but that won't ever work,
and we know it won't.
so we let them melt away,
sinking into the deeper depths.
