A/N:
Sorry this is a little late I was at camp last week and I was going to post this pre-written chapter on Saturday when I got back from camp but I was too tired to and I was busy yesterday.
Anyways enjoy!
Lauren's POV.
"Ok guys, let's get this room painted before the truck gets here!" Adam stood in the center of my now empty room. It had a tarp covering the carpet, painters tape protecting the trim and other necessary things, buckets of the sky blue paint I picked in front of the 3 walls I chose to be that color and a bucket of white paint in front of the remaining wall, and enough paint brushes and paint rollers for everyone to paint. Everyone else stood in the doorway or slightly in the room. We all had on old clothes that we didn't mind getting dirty and Alesa and I had our hair in ponytails. Me and Alesa nodded and went over to the white wall which was decided that we would paint. The remaining boys (not including Adam) yelled out "Yeah!" In unison and ran over to a blue wall and with that everyone started painting.
About an hour later we are almost done painting. Adam was getting everyone something to drink when Mitch jokingly splattered Jerome's face with paint using his paintbrush. Not willing to let Mitch get the last laugh Jerome did the same thing. With that an all out paint splattering battle commenced between the two of them and then among the whole group of boys while Alesa and I just sat there watching them and laughing. When Jason noticed us laughing he yelled over the group. "Guys! Guys stop!" Everyone stop what they were doing looked at Jason. He continued. "We shouldn't be splattering each other, we should be splattering them!" He pointed at us and we both squealed and tried to run to the door but it was too late. The assault of sky blue paint rained down upon us and we screamed in horror and laughter. She looked at me and I nodded, knowing what she was thinking. "Women attack!!" I scream and me and Alesa started splattering the guys with paint. After a little back and forth between guys and girls. They started hitting each other again and the paint war continued as before except for Alesa and I were in it.
After a few minutes of paint fighting Adam came in with a tray of drinks. "Woah guys stop! Stop!" He shouted. We all stopped and looked at him. " What are you doing?!" He asked. "Let's get him!" Mitch shouted. Adam looked at us with horror and uncertainty because I don't think he quite knew what Mitch meant. "Wait!" I shouted stepping between the group and Adam. I grab the tray of drinks from Adam and walked away. "Ok now go ahead." I said once I got far enough away. With that Adam was assaulted with paint. I laughed and set down the tray of drinks on the stool we had once had a bucket of paint on. I turned to the white wall so I could finish up the little painting the wall still needed and when I saw the blue dots scattered along the white wall I screamed. Everyone looked at me to see why I screamed and I heard a few gasps. I stared at it a little longer and an idea popped into my mind. "Here let's finish painting this wall, I have an idea." They look at me weird but don't ask any question.
Once we finish painting it plain white I take a sky blue paintbrush and flick it at the wall. I did it again and again and after a while the others realized what I was doing and joined in. Soon we were throwing in unison. "1,2,3, Flick!" We all flicked our paintbrushes at the wall, giving the wall some more blue spots. "1,2,3, Flick!" We did it again. We repeated this until it was as splattered as I liked. "Ok stop!" I said and everyone put down their brushes and we all stepped back to look at it. We all stood there quietly, admiring it. "Great idea, Lauren." Alesa said breaking the silence. There was a chorus of agreements from everyone else. I smiled. "Thanks. We should finish painting the other walls though." I stated. Everyone nodded and myself and a few of the others went to finish painting and everyone else grabbed a glass of lemonade that Adam had brought us. Once we finished painting the rest of us grabbed a glass and we sat and stood around the room chatting and laughing. I stood by the window watching for the truck with the furniture for my room to come.
