Chapter 6~Talking to the Principal

I'm sorry it took me so long to update! I am the worst at sticking to a writing schedule!

Lauren's POV.

I wake up the next morning in my bed. I wonder who brought me here? I sit up and rub my eyes, adjusting to the sunlight. I get out of bed and start making the bed. Once it's made I go downstairs and into the kitchen where I find Adam making pancakes. All of the guys are sitting at the kitchen table, most of them are eating pancakes while a few guys are eating other breakfast items. Alesa is sitting on the counter, watching Adam make what I'm guessing is her pancakes. "Morning." I say as I hop up next to Alesa on the counter. There was a chorus of "Morning"s, "Hey"s, etc. "You want some pancakes?" Adam asks me. "Yes!" I practically yell. Pancakes are my favorite breakfast food. "Ok. Someone likes pancakes." Adam replies wide eyed. A few of the others chuckle. "So Lauren, Adam and I decided that the 3 of us would go down to your school today and take care of anything that needs to be changed before you go back to school tomorrow." Alesa said as we watched Adam flip the pancakes. I shrug. "Ok sounds good to me." I say still watching the pancakes. "Once you're done eating breakfast go get dressed and then we'll go to your school." She replies. "Order up! Alesa give me your plate!" Adam says, ending our conversation. Alesa grabs her plate from behind her and holds it out for Adam. He puts her pancakes on the plate and she goes to get butter and syrup. "How many pancakes do you want?" Adam asks me. "Umm, I think just 2 today. Trust me when I say I could eat more." I laugh and he does too, before starting my pancakes.

I'm sitting in the back seat of Adam's car, looking out the window as we drive to my middle school. Adam and Alesa are in the front seat talking about random things. I'm not really paying attention though, as all I'm focused on is the snow covered, December scenery passing by. Within a few minutes Adam pulls into my school's main parking lot, bringing me back to reality. "Ok let's go in." Alesa says as soon as Adam has the car parked. I nod and Adam says a simple. "Ok." We get out and walk into the building before going into the main office. The main secretary, Mrs. Swanson is at the desk and comes around to the front of the desk to greet us. She's always been super nice to me and is easily one of my favorite staff members in the building. She greets me with her warm smile. "Hello Lauren, so this must be your new parents. I'm Mrs. Swanson." She says and shakes each of their hands. "Nice to meet you both, Principal Brown is waiting for you in her office." She points towards her office before going back behind the desk. We walk into the doorway of Mrs. Brown's office and Adam lightly knocks on the door. She looks up from the paperwork she was looking at and smiles at us. She stands up. "Please come in and take a seat." She says as she gestures to the chairs in front of the desk. We take off our coats and Principal Brown shakes Adam and Alesa's hand before they sit down. "Ok let's talk about Lauren." She starts.

Maybe an hour later we finish talking. "Ok well you can fill out that paperwork with Mrs. Swanson and all will be good." Principal Brown says as she opens the door and holds it open for us. We put on our coats and walk back to Mrs. Swanson's desk. Adam and Alesa fill out the needed forms and we walk back outside to the parking lot. Before I get in the car I see Myckie and Jimmy walk up to the building. "Myckie!" I call to her just before she goes in the building. She turns around and when she sees me she smiles. "Hey Frand!" She replies and runs to me. Jimmy follows soon after. "Hey Jimmy! What are you guys doing here?" Adam asks Jimmy when he comes over. "We came to see Principal Brown." Myckie responds for him. "Oh cool, we just finished talking to her." Alesa says joining in on the conversation. "Mrs. Swanson is working today." I tell Myckie and she smiles. "Really? Yay!" She says happily. Mrs. Swanson was always nice to her also. "We should go." Jimmy cuts in and Myckie's smile fades. "Oh ok see you tomorrow, Myckie." I give Myckie a small smile. "See you around Jimmy." Adam says and also gives Jimmy a small smile. Jimmy pulls Myckie away and starts to walk back towards the building. What is going on?! I get into our car as does Adam and Alesa. I buckle up and go back to looking out the window quietly as Adam starts the car and starts to drive home.

After a few minutes of driving, Adam seems to realize something's wrong. "Something wrong, Lauren?" He asks, his eyes darting between me and the road. "I should ask you the same thing, what's wrong with Jimmy?" I ask. He sighs. "He's still getting a lot of crap for leaving, and he's kind of taking it out on the team." "How do you know?" I ask. "I've tried to get in contact with him, I've tried to make up not standing up for him when Mitch suggested him leaving. But he hasn't responded to anything. Some of the others have tried to get in contact with him also but he has completely shut us out. Just like some of the team has shut him out. Like how Mitch got mad about Jimmy at the Orphanage, he's still upset about what happened. Everyone has taken this Seto not being in the group differently." He explains. I sigh, frustrated. "Why is he taking it out on Myckie and I?!" I say angrily. "I don't know but that's his choice." Adam said stating the obvious. I sigh once again before going back to looking out the window frustrated with being brought into this mess.

When we pulled into the driveway I got out quietly and went straight to my room. Neither Adam or Alesa said anything to me and just let me go, probably sensing my frustration. Once I was in my room I immediately changed into a t-shirt and sweatpants. When I was done I grabbed my iPod, turned on some music, and popped in my earbuds. I put my iPod into my pocket and flopped onto my bed. I layed there for a little bit before I remembered I had some homework I needed to do before I go back to school tomorrow. I sighed and got up, then I went and grabbed my backpack from next to my dresser and plopped it next to my desk before sitting down into my comfortable desk chair. I pulled out my math textbook, my math notebook, and a pencil from my backpack and started working on the rest of the assigned problems I had left to do.

As if almost on cue when I finished my last problem there was a knock at my door. I slammed my textbook shut, happy to be done and spun my chair around so that I was facing the door. "Come in." I said and Adam popped his head in. "Hey, me and a few of the guys are going to record a video, wanna join us?" He asked. "Umm just to play? I don't really want to record my own videos yet." He shrugs. "If that's what you want, we'll be recording though." He explained. "That's fine, what's your skype?" I ask as I spin back around to my desk and turn my new computer on. "Oh wait we never set that up, how does your laptop work for games?" Adam asks. "I actually got it specifically because it's good for games." I finally tell him. "Ok good we're playing on the Hive and why don't you give me your Skype instead and I'll add you to the call." Adam says. "Ok mine's Lauren_is_Crossed." I say slightly ashamed. "Nice play on your last name, log into your computer and expect a call in a second." He says and leaves. I grab my laptop and headset with a mic on it and set everything up. As I start Minecraft up and put my headphones on, I get a call on the already opened Skype. I answer it to see the faces of Adam, Jerome, Mitch, and Ty. "Are you ready Lauren?" Mitch asks. I check my Minecraft window and see the main screen. "The Hive right?" I ask and I hear a few yes's from the guys. "Ok I'm logging in to the server, just an fyi I'm not a premium or anything so we might have some troubles getting in the same game." I tell them. "Well, we'll figure it out." Adam says.

After a lot of effort we all get into the same game of Hide and Seek. We all stand by each other in the lobby and are surrounded by all the fans in the lobby, it get's really annoying for me but the guys act like it's nothing and prepare to start recording. "Ok. 3,2,1. Hey guys Sky here, I'm with Deadlox, Bajan Canadian, Fluffy, and," He faces me and gasps. "Who's this? This isn't some random fan, this is my new adopted daughter, Lauren!" He says finishing his intro. "Hi!" I say feeling a little awkward. "We are on the Hive playing some good old Hide and Seek. Now this is the first many videos with Lauren, we'll be getting her a better mic and eventually a YouTube channel but for now she's just going to play with us in videos." Adam explains as the timer counts down to zero and we're brought into the game.

"God dang it I'm the Seeker! I hate being the Seeker!" I exclaim which makes all the guys laugh.

Yet another filler chapter, sorry! Don't worry though stuff will start happening since it will be Monday and Lauren will be going back to school. (yeah I know 6 chapters to get through a weekend...)
