When Dawn Breaks // Nocturnals

Gut feelings

Ted continued to drive down a narrow pathway.

Diego sat staring at the trees filled with creatures of different species like squrriels, raccoons, birds, foxes.

He liked nature and loved to see everything that it had to offer.

Ted stared at Diego. His curly dark brown hair was adorable to look at. He was the most attractive person Ted had ever seen to be completely honest.

Diego was thinking about everything that happened back at the school with the crazy bitch who got mualed by the Nocturnal back there.

"Y'know Im glad we both made it out alive." Diego said breaking the silence.

"I would have never survived on my own." Diego admitted.

It truly was great wasn't it? Ted thought to himself.

Just two friends surviving a fucked up work together.

Are you friends? Ted questioned himself. Yeah we are.

"Yeah it really is." Ted said keeping his eyes on the road ahead.

Diego hummed to himself quietly as he watched things pass by the car.

"So where should we go now?" Ted asked. His face not leaving the road.

"Far the hell away from here." Diego laughed.

"Fair." Ted chuckled.

"Y'know there is this one beach about an hour from here. If we get there the theirs no nocturnals that inhabit the area." Diego said.

"Oh yeah we should go there." Ted said smiling.

Diego smiled. Ted was so happy just to have a friend with him. It was truly adorable to Diego.

-1 hour later-

They finally arrived at the beach. An extremely large beach at that. No wonder there were no Nocturnals. While there was woods they were quite far away from them and it took around 10-15 minutes just to get back to the woods.

Ted finally got out of the car and into the sand. A sensational feeling shot up through him as his feet hit the ground.

Ted had only heard about beaches and seen sand in a few of the exhibits I'm the zoo but nothing like this.

Ted started dancing and giggling feeling how the sand felt.

Diego laughed and smiled while looking at Ted.

"God he was adorable wasn't he?" Diego said silently to himself.

Smirking at Ted's figure as he danced.

For a boy who had been in a car accident, survived a nocturnal, a robbery, and an invasion of raiders. The boy could function all on his own. It was amazing.

Diego marveled at Ted's hips as he swayed in the sand. The ocean breeze cold but soothing making his curly hair wave like a flag.
