A girl in a full black gym suit with a high ponytail
was running on the treadmill, headphones on, for the past 30 minutes. Her friends were waiting for her to stop, but it seemed she wasn’t in the mood to stop today. How could she? Her boyfriend of the past three months had dumped her.
Finally, she stopped, got off the machine, removed her headphones, and started wiping off her sweat.
Her friends rushed over and handed her a water bottle. She grabbed it and drank like it was the last bottle of water on Earth.
“Come on, Tanvi. You’re wasting yourself over a three-month relationship,” one of the two girls said.
“It’s not about the three months. It’s about the fact that he had the nerve to dump me. To dump Tanvi Malhotra,” she said, narrowing her eyes.
“By God, if we weren’t in public, I would have killed him,” she added.
“It’s his loss, though,” the other girl said.
“That’s exactly what I’m going to make that son of a bitch realize,” Tanvi said with a smirk.
“What’s going on in that sharp mind of yours now?” one of the girls asked.
“Just wait and watch, baby girl,” she replied.
She picked up her gym bag and left, followed by her two friends.
They got into the car, and Tanvi started driving.
“Will you tell us what exactly you’re going to do?” one friend asked.
“Patience,” she replied calmly.
Tanvi stopped the car in front of a big house. She got out and looked around as if searching for something.
Her eyes landed on a large rock, and she smirked. “You’re done for, son of a bitch.”
She picked up the rock and threw it directly at the house, shattering the big glass windows into pieces.
“During the repairs, keep remembering me,” she said, blowing a kiss toward the house before quickly getting back into the car and driving off.
“Tanvi, are you crazy? What did you just do? The cameras definitely recorded you!” one of the girls said, shocked.
“Like I care,” Tanvi replied, rolling her eyes and speeding up.
“You’re impossible, Tanvi,” the other girl chuckled.
Tanvi entered the house, humming a tune from Lover. She was halfway through the living room when her father called out, “Tanvi, you’re home?”
She looked at him, knowing what was coming next. “Come here,” he gestured.
She quietly approached, standing in front of him with her hands behind her back like a guilty child.
“Yes... Dad?” she asked, hesitating.
Her father, Raj Malhotra, cleared his throat. “So, what did you do in front of the Rajvanshi mansion?”
Tanvi looked everywhere but at him. “Tanvi, I’m asking you something,” her dad pressed.
“Dad, you know I wouldn’t do that, but you also know what their son said to me—he said you weren’t the best. So I had to do something. And by the way, I dumped him,” she said, pouting.
“Really? Then you should have thrown another rock at their house! How dare he say that!” her dad replied.
She rushed to hug him. “You’re the best dad, no doubt about it!”
