I reached the hospital

I reached the hospital. I don't know why, but I feel proud of myself after making that idiot suffer.

He deserves this. Because of that bastard, I lost Abhi—my first and last love.

This is just the beginning. There's a lot more coming his way. What does he think? That by marrying me, he can take over my mom’s company and her property? It’s not going to be that easy.

As long as I’m alive, I won’t let him touch my mom’s company or her property. Just wait, Rishabh. I’ll ruin you.

With these thoughts swirling in my head, I walked into my hospital office. But what do I see? Naina? What is she doing here?

She didn’t even tell me she was coming. Is everything okay?

“Naina? What a surprise. You didn’t tell me you were coming,” I said, frowning.

She doesn’t look okay. Something’s definitely wrong. But what?

She didn’t say a word—just hugged me and started crying.

“Naina? What happened? Is everything alright?” I asked, trying to console her. But her sobs only got louder.

I made her sit on the chair and sat next to her. “Will you tell me what’s going on?” This time, my voice was more firm.

Tears filled her eyes. “How do I even say it, Tara? I don’t know what to do.”

“I’m… I…” Her voice cracked.

“Relax, Naina. Here, drink this.” I handed her a glass of water.

She drank it all in one go and sighed. “Okay, Tara, I have to tell you something,” she said, barely able to speak.

“I’m pregnant.” She blurted it out, then closed her eyes, like she couldn’t believe she’d said it.

What? How can she be pregnant?

As far as I know, she doesn’t even have a boyfriend. Pregnant? My mind raced, and a frown creased my face.

“What?” That’s all I could manage to say.

“Who’s the father?” I finally asked.

When she told me the whole story, my mind froze. How am I supposed to help her now?

“I don’t want my family to find out. That’s all I ask,” she said, her voice trembling.

“I’m so sorry, Tara.” Why is she apologizing to me?

“I couldn’t check in under my real name. That’s why… I put your name and… and Rishabh Malhotra’s name on the reports,” she stammered.

Wait, what? Did she just say my name and that bastard’s name?

“You put my name and his name? Are you serious, Naina?” I said, my anger rising.

She broke into tears again. “I did it because you’re the only one I have. And you two are married, so no one will suspect anything. But if my name came up, what could I do?”
