Vitani tries grabbing Kopa's hands and pushing them away, but Kopa is too strong. Vitani can feel her consciousness slipping away, so as a last resort, she unsheaths her claws and digs them into Kopa's hands. Kopa yells in pain and pulls his hands away from Vitani. Vitani crawls away, she I gasping for air. She stands up to try to run out of the cell, but she is met with Kopa's claws digging into her face near her ear and are dragged down to the bottom of her jaw. She screamed in pain.
"Now you have scars on your face. Just like your 'beloved' husband," Kopa put air quotes around "beloved."
Vitani tries to get up to attack Kopa, but Kopa kicks her with the leg that he had falsely claimed to be broken.
Vitani lies on the ground and groans in pain. Vitani was still struggling to catch her breath, and she had been seeing stars ever since she was hit in the head by the crutch.

Outside of the holding cell...
"I'm super happy for you two, but just to be clear, I was the first one to find out that they were a couple." Mkali says. Everyone laughs. Everyone except Mkali, and he always laughs at his own jokes. He just had this uneasy feeling for whatever reason. He looks at the door of the holding cell. He hears his voice in his head, but it's too quiet to make out exactly what it was saying. It gradually started to get louder.
"I need to go in there," is what the voice in his head was saying. It repeated this phrase in his head, getting louder and louder before it was yelling at Mkali.
"MKALI!! GO IN THERE NOW!!" The voice yells at him.
"Mkali, are you okay?" Simba asks his oldest grandson. Mkali throws the sheets off of him, and he gets up. It hurts super bad when he stands up, but something is telling him that he needs to ignore the pain. He walks over to the door, ignoring the questions and pleas to get back into bed behind him. He makes his scar glow, and then he kicks down the door to the holding cell. The door goes flying off of the hinges, and it knocks Kopa off of an unconscious Vitani.
"Mom!" Mkali cries after seeing his mother unconscious. Kopa groans and rubs the back of his head.
"Great! Just great!" He thought to himself. Kopa sees the crutch he used to hit Vitani out of the corner of his eye.
Mkali is checking Vitani's pulse. It's weak, but it's getting stronger little by little. Kopa grabs his crutch and swings it at Mkali's head, but Mkali turns around, grabs the crutch, takes it out of Kopa's hands, and hits Kopa with it a few times. Mkali unsheaths his claws to stab Kopa in the stomach, but Kopa quickly cut the vines that were keeping Hukumu tied down. He grabbed her and used her as a shield. Mkali stabbed her in the liver. Hukumu's eyes go wide, and then she drops dead to the ground. Kopa stands there in shock for a second. Mkali capitalizes on this and punches Kopa in the face. This busts Kopa's face open. Mkali grabs the back of Kopa's head and pulls it down as he brings his knee up to meet his face. He then kicks Kopa in the leg, then knees him in the kidney. Kopa is still standing after all of this somehow, so when Kopa throws a haymaker, Mkali ducks under it, then grabs Kopa from behind and suplexed him through the table that Hukumu was previously tied to. Mkali gets up and grabs Kopa by his shirt, then throws him out of the cell and into the main part of the lair.
"What's going on!?" Simba asked Mkali after seeing that his son is beaten. This leaves Simba wondering what Kopa did to make Mkali beat him up and how Kopa even got into the holding cell.
"I'm assuming that what happened is that Kopa is working with the killers, and he was trying to kill mom while she was interrogating Hukuma." Mkali explained.
Kopa starts laughing while he sits up. "I don't work with them. They work for me! I'm the mastermind behind everything! The fire, the murders. All of it was done on my say-so!" Kopa brags.
"You set the fire!?" A bewildered Nala asks her son.
"I did. The only casualty that I wanted there to be was the one casualty that there actually was." Kopa says, still bragging. "I locked Asha's door before I went to bed, and everything went exactly according to my plan!"
Vitani walked out of the holding cell after Kopa said that.
"All I want to know is why." Nala said on the verge of tears. "Why would one of my sons want to kill his older brother?"
"What Mkali said the other day was correct. I was sick and tired of living in Kion's shadow! So I figured that I couldn't live in his shadow if he didn't have one to cast in the first place. So I organized for him to be killed. And let me just tell you that finally getting out from Kion's shadow was the best feeling in the world. From that day forward, I decided I'm not going to live in anyone's shadow. So when Mkali came back, I decided to have my friends make him lose his credibility." Kopa glares at Mkali. Mkali snarls back at him. "I tried to turn everyone against him, but when that didn't work, I set up a trap for Mkali. Unfortunately for me, he survived somehow. When I heard that Koda was going to fill in for Mkali while he recovered, I figured that would be the next best thing. So, I set up a trap that was very similar to the one I killed Kion with. You guys know how that went, so I told myself that whoever interrogates Hukumu, I will kill them with my own two hands. But once again, Mkali ruined my plans."
Mkali walks over to Kopa and grabs him by the shirt.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you right now!" Mkali growls at him.
As if on cue, the remaining four killers walk into the lair. "You'll have to get past them first." Kopa says with a phycopathic smile on his face.
