"I have something for you pala."

I took a quick glance to Aiah and to my suprise, I was welcomed by a jar of munchkins!

"H-ha?" puzzled, I looked back on the road and then back to her.

"Munchkins....maybe you want some while driving?" pag aalok niya.

I don't know how to respond. I was feeling down lately since napapadalas ang pag aaway nina Mom and Dad. They are fighting again because of me. Dad wants me to go back and live with them in the US, so I can handle our business soon. But Mom, she supports me. She want me to follow my dream of becoming a lawyer. And now, Aiah here is offering me her munchkins --- one of my comfort food that I discovered lately.

"Thanks but I'm driving pa." I answered.

I didn't bother to look at her again since I am focusing on the road when all of a sudden, a ball of crushed grahams appeared in front of my mouth.

I tried to hide the shock and took a quick glance at Aiah who is waiting patiently for me to take the munchkin.

"My hands are clean. Sige na, subuan nalang kita." she offered.

Wow, I like her boldness. Given that our first meeting is something that will not leave a good impression, she still managed to be friendly with me.  Well, I should be too since we will be sharing the same circle.

Hesitant, I leaned to her and took a bite of the munchkins. As soon as it meets my taste buds, a sudden warmth embraced me. Something about this munchkins really makes me happy. Yung feeling na parang bata ka lang ulit --- that feeling.

"You like it? Masarap ba?" with hopeful eyes and with a wide smile, she asked.

I planned on teasing her a bit so I acted na parang nag iisip, "hmmm...hindi eh pero ok na."

I took another quick glance and I'm sure I saw her rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms and looked away. Ay pikon.

A few minutes later, I looked back at her and she's still sulking beside me.

"Hey, Aiah....can I have some more, please?" I politely asked.

"Akala ko ba hindi masarap?!" she glared. Eto na naman siya guys, ang dali uminit ng ulo.

"I was just joking. I liked it. Can I have some more?" I stopped teasing na rin baka kasi na offend ko siya. I know mahirap kaya gumawa ng munchkins.

We arrived at the covered court na and we were welcomed by families that is waiting for us. Some kids are also running around the covered court and as soon as Jhoanna took liberty of being the host, umayos na rin naman sila.

We guided them to sit muna before we do the gift giving. Jhoanna prepared a small program for them. They planned to let the kids play some games and also the parents. My friends were busy accomodating them. I sat behind the crowd, trying to blend in and observed them.

I was smiling while pinagmamasdan yung mga kids na nag eenjoy sa mga games. I remembered that my Lola would always prepare an event like this sa mga orphanage every year and I enjoyed those too. Giving gifts, making kids happy -- nakakagaan ng loob. They were playing pinoy henyo, Colet and Maloi is playing with the cute baby sa gilid, Sheena holding on to a little girl's hand while waiting for their turn. Gwen is busy with the music -- she's our DJ for today. Jhoanna, Stacey and Aiah hosting. Sobrang kulit nilang tatlo and fit na fit talaga sa kanila yung pag hohost. Kahit papano my thoughts that were bothering me simula kahapon is slowly calming down. I think I should do this often --- going out with my friends. After all, they were my comfort zone.
