-Mikha-

I woke up early to prepare my self for school.

Ever since I stepped senior highschool, I have been independent na. I fought my will na magpaiwan dito sa Philippines instead of being with my family overseas to pursue my dreams and passion. At first ayaw ni Dad but at least may kakampi naman ako, si Mommy.

I got up and message Mom that it's our first day of school na.

As I scanned my schedules, I noticed na classmates pa rin kami ni Sheena and Stacey and kapag sinuswerte ka nga naman, classmate ko ngayon si Stephen and my first subject is ---- Mr. Montoya. Wow naman, gandang bungad ng first day of school.

I hurriedly climbed on my black sedan and drove to school since senior high school are required to join the weekly flag ceremony which is being held every first day of the week.

I parked my car and I saw Aiah from afar but I ran towards our field and joined my classmates as they formed a line na. For sure I'll be meeting her somewhere dito sa campus din naman.

"Mikhs!" kaway ni Sheena sa akin as the prayer already started. I secretly blended in between the crowd of students and squeezed in between her and Stacey.

"Thanks, Shee."

After the flag ceremony, our school head officially welcomed us back and sent us off for our first subject.

Since our first teacher will be Mr. Montoya, dali dali na kaming humanap ng seats dahil ayaw na ayaw nitong maabutan yung students niyang hindi pa ready for class. Short introduction lang naman since our class section had some new faces and that includes, Stephen.

"My name is Stepehen Santiago, the school's basketball team captain." flashing his signature 'throwing the ball in the air' pose.

I just scoffed and looked outside the window --- yep, still seated beside the window. And to ensure no one will sit beside me, Stacey took that seat and next to her is Sheena.

"Good morning, Lim."

I heard someone talked behind me, "Good morning, Nica...Roxy." I greeted them who took the seats behind me and Stacey.

I saw the irritated face that Stacey flashed as she rolled her eyes and mouted "subukan mo" like warning me not to do anything stupid. Ewan ko ba dito, palagi mainit ang dugo kila Nica and Roxy.

I was wandering my eyes outside the window while the rest of our classmates introduced themselves when someone outside caught my attention.

From our classroom window, I can clearly see the school's ecopark where a bunch of tables and benches are scattered for students to make tambay.

This familiar figure was seated on the bench facing our building and was too focused on the book she's reading. First day of school, books agad.

I fished my phone out of my pocket and took a picture of her and send it.

Isn't it too early for you to be here?

I typed and sent her picture.

As I hit on "send" she immediately took her phone to check the notification. As she read it, a huge grin was plastered on her face but then suddenly dropped, the smile on her face was replaced by panic. Huh?! She didn't received my chat?
