-Aiah-
Mikha and I grew closer after the night na hinatid niya ako sa bahay.
She's so thoughtful of buying me dinner and it even surprised me that she even bought some sweets too. Sabi niya "for my period cravings daw" which is very sweet of her.
Minsan, Mikha will wait for me after their practice if gagabihin siya and will drop me off sa apartment. Napapadalas din yung pag visit namin sa ice cream truck sa may park malapit sa apartment namin and doon, we get to know each other better. We had the time to talk, random things lang naman.
Mikha shared that she is living alone daw dito sa Philippines since ayaw niya sa US cause pipilitin lang siya ng daddy niya to take a course she don't like. I also met her furbaby Haru one time when I bumped into her sa mall. He is so cute by the way. I also shared some photos of my baby Lingling who is staying with my parents sa Cebu. I missed him na din.
We simply shared stories about our childhood, our likes and dislikes. Our interest...we even talked about politics! Who would have thought?
I guess the idea of knowing each other without the help of our 'common friends' is not too bad at all. We get to slowly understand each other in our own ways and I'm happy that Mikha is starting to be more lively na din unlike nung first meeting namin. Our friends noticed the closeness growing between me and her and we actually don't mind. Their teasing is harmless naman and we also talked about it na if ever one of us feels uncomfortable with the teasing we should voice out.
Days, weeks and months passed. My bond with the girls grew stronger din. At one weekend after our prelims, Mikha brought us to one of their villas to unwind and we had a pool party. Naaawa daw kasi sila sa aming lima na college students who looked like zombies na daw. Well, not gonna lie....college life is very different nga compared sa junior and senior years. You really need to brace yourself and strive hard. Bawal talaga tamadin pag college.
"Girl! Malapit na yung intramurals. Push na ba? Ikaw din yung sina sight nila Gov to represent us." Marty has been bugging me for weeks na to represent our department for this years Miss Intramurals. I really don't mind joining but nahihiya naman kasi ako since freshman palang ako, wala bang senior na gustong mag represent?
"Sure ka bang sabi ni Gov yun? Or sabi mo lang? Naku beks ha....baka gawa mo lang to." I warned Marty knowing that this friend of mine just wanted me to participate para siya yung mag handle ng hair and make up ko.
Hindi na siya sumagot and only shoved me his phone..it was a message from our department Governor. And yes, he is asking Marty to convince me to represent us.
"Fine. Sige....sabihin mo payag na ako."
The preparation for the school's Intramurals is going smoothly and tomorrow will be the opening ceremonies.
"Ate Aiah...pwede pa tulong bukas? Yung design kasi ng booth naming guidance facilitators is hindi pa tapos eh. Baka pwede pa lend muna ng iyong artistic powers please?" Sheena pleaded habang tinutulungan ako to wash the dishes.
"Sure, daan nalang ako bukas after ng blocking namin." I agreed.
"Talaga? Yes!!! The best ka talaga ate." Sheena clung herself to me and even showered me kisses. Talaga tong bata na to, napaka clingy.
