The weekend swung by in what felt like a long forgettable set of days.

For Hunter, living in general had never felt so depressing, and this was most likely because of his untimely encounter with Amber. Stone.

It was so hard for him to cope with what he had experienced, that even just the thought of it would mentally hurt him.

Because of that, he went to the extent of attempting to focus on other things, but even that didn't seem to work.

Furthermore he tried to force himself to not think about it, but every time he tried to do so, he would end up thinking about it even more.

It was hopeless for him, and he could only hope that his feelings would blow over.

At this moment in time, Hunter stood in front of his bedroom mirror getting himself ready for school. He wore his uniform neatly, and had his hair combed in a fashionable manner.

"Another day," he stated, forcing a smile at his tall and thin frame through the mirror.

"Honey, I'm leaving for work, do you want a ride?" Alethea asked, suddenly peaking her head through Hunters' door.

She had her long hair plaited into braids, and a light fade of makeup on her face. She wore denim jeans, and a long grey coat, accompanied by a white shirt.

Hunter turned to face her, "No," he replied, "I'll actually be leaving with Damien."

Alethea smiled, and proceeded to open Hunter's bedroom door wider so she could nicely fit through it. "Alright then," she agreed, raising an eyebrow and nodding her head, "I hope you enjoy your day."

"Thanks mom," Hunter said, showing his appreciation to his mother. Alethea looked at Hunter longer than usual, and then nodded her head, and walked modestly out of the room.

But then she stopped in her tracks, and turned back to face him, "are you okay?" She asked, feeling a sense of worry welling up in her gut.

"Yeah—-I mean of course I am, mom," Hunter stuttered, trying to put his words together.

Alethea tilted her head to the side, and shot a sceptical look at him. "You sure?" She asked in an open manner.

"Yeah," Hunter replied, "I am."

Alethea raised her eyebrows and sighed, "ok then," she said, hiding a worrisome expression. "But if you ever want to talk about anything, please don't be afraid to ask," she continued. "I'm right here."

Hunter smiled, "mom, I'm fine," he assured, "you don't have to worry about me."

"I know," Alethea replied, giving Hunter a warm smile. "Anyways bye........enjoy your day," she said, proceeding to walk out of Hunters' room, this time not turning back.

"Damn it," Hunter whispered under his breath, watching her leave the room. He wasn't aware of how terrible he was at hiding his emotions.

He then proceeded to open his phone, knowing he needed to make sure Damien had net forgotten about him or something.

Damien- I'm in your driveway.....come out we're late

The main message on his notification list surprisingly read.

Hunter- I'm on my way

He replied, grabbing his bag and rushing down stairs towards Damien's car.

As Hunter made his way into the car, he looked at Damien who smiled at him. Damien wore his school uniform in his usual shabby way. It was quite clear he hadn't even bothered to try ironing it.
