Maloi's POV

"Miks gising na"

I nudged Mikha's shoulder, her face buried deep into her pillow. "Miks, gising na. We're gonna be late! May meeting tayo ngayong 8, and we need to be there early," I said, my voice rising with urgency gently shaking Mikha awake.

She groaned and rolled over, pulling the blanket up to her chin. I sighed. After five long minutes of constant pestering, she finally stirred. Honestly, this girl is impossible to deal with in the morning. I keep telling her to sleep early and stop staying up so late for K-dramas, but of course, Mikha Lim being Mikha Lim, she never listens.

I gave her one last glance, shaking my head, before heading back to my room to change, As I opened my wardrobe, Sheena suddenly popped in, her curious face peeking through the door.

"Ate Maloi, may idea ka ba kung ano tong meeting?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

"Nope, wala akong idea. Ginising lang din ako ni Jho, tinawagan daw siya ni Direk. We need to be at the office by 8," I replied while applying some light makeup. My hands moved automatically, dabbing powder and blending foundation as I thought about the meeting.

What could it possibly be about?

After what felt like ages of adjusting our outfits, doing our makeup, and fussing over small details, the girls were finally ready. We made our way to the van, the chatter picking up as soon as we were all settled inside.

Colet turned to Jho, her eyebrows raised. "Bakit tayo pinatawag, Jho? May nangyari ba?" she asked.

"Direk said it's important. Kailangan daw maaga tayo," Jho responded. Her tone calm but with a hint of excitement.

"AY! Baka brand deals na yan!" Sheena suddenly exclaimed, crossing her fingers dramatically. "Sana brand deals, pls lang huhuhu!"

"Or it could be related to our debut," Aiah suggested, who had been quiet until now.

The air grew tense. Her words hit us like a wave. Silence filled the van as we exchanged nervous glances. The word 'debut' held so much meaning for us. Although technically, we had already debuted during the pandemic era, we still didn't have an official debut song. All we had was Da Coconut, our pre-debut single. But for us, it didn't really count.

We've heard the whispers. Fans had been expecting something bigger. Something grand. And while we had fun performing Da Coconut, we knew it wasn't exactly the song they envisioned from a group like ours, especially after years of training, even under a Korean system.

Suddenly, Jho spoke up, breaking the tension. "Don't be nervous, guys. I know we've been on edge about this for a while. Lahat tayo gusto na ring ibigay sa mga tao ang gusto nila. But let's just be calm and prepare. Direk is here to help us, and there are so many others behind us too. Kaya we don't have to worry. We just need to do our best."

Her words were reassuring, and one by one, I saw the girls visibly relax. It's funny how Jho always manages to make us feel at ease, no matter how stressed we are. Well that's to be expected from our leader.

The rest of the trip flew by with us laughing, talking, and doing some quick vocal warm-ups. Soon, we arrived at the building, stepping out of the van one by one. The air was crisp, and I could feel the slight chill of the morning. We then headed straight for the entrance. The guards let us in.

As we walked toward the elevator, Mikha piped up, "Guys, punta muna ako sa dance room. Naiwan ko yung water bottle ko kahapon."

"I also left my hoodie too, I'll come with you" Gwen said
