15. Accident?

Jin and Aeri went to hospital to get a check up. They were overjoyed seeing the ultrasound scan of the baby. The doctor said that there was nothing to worry and gave them several advices on how to take care of the mom during the pregnancy.

On the way to their car, Jin spoke "Isn't it cute? The fingers, the head and the legs" seeing the ultrasound scan of the baby. "It's just a ball of flesh Jin. They still didn't develop any body parts" Aeri deadpanned.

"You think I don't know? I am also a doctor, my dear. I was just imagining the baby" he replied with a pout. "I already have a baby with me" Aeri mumbled but Jin heard it.

"Me? Baby? I made a baby with you" Jin said with a smirk making Aeri's face go red. "I- Let's just go" she said and increased her pace making Jin laugh. "Don't run, it's not good for you" Jin shouted and ran towards her.

They reached the car and started to drive towards their home. Jin was driving the car while Aeri was sitting in the passenger seat.

Jin was driving the car normally but he felt something wrong. As they were approaching a car at the front, he pressed the brakes to slow down the car but he wasn't able to. He widened his eyes and turned the steering wheel to overtake the car in front of him to avoid any accident.

"Jin!! Careful, don't drive so rashly. No need to hurry, we have so much time" Aeri said in a loud voice being scared of his driving. "Yeah, sorry" he replied shortly.

"Why the hell are the brakes not working. It was fine when we arrived. Let me just try again" Jin thought to himself.

He tried to hit the brakes again to check but it was no use, the car didn't slow down.

"Oh my gosh, what do I do now" he thought again and his face visibly paled. He had no idea on how to stop the car when the brakes failed.

Jin's face paled more when he saw the traffic lights, a bit far from them, ready to turn red. The light would be turned to red till they cross it and there was no chance Jin would be able to stop the car if it turns red.

Having no choice, he increased the speed to cross the lights before they could turn red. He raced forward with an hope that they would cross the road in time. He took a breath in relief when he made it in time.

"Jin! Why are you doing this? You are making me scared. There are brakes in the car, just use them" Aeri said in a loud voice.

Jin looked at her with a gloomy face "I-I am sorry, didn't mean to scare you baby" he said with a sad voice.

"Why don't you decrease the speed? You are going in 80 kmph in a busy road. It's dangerous" she said and looked at him.

Jin gulped and spoke "I-I can't do it".

"Why?" She asked with a confused face.

"The brakes aren't working" he replied with a low voice.

"WHAT! It was fine when we came to the hospital" she stated with voice filled in fear. "I-I don't know. Please don't be scared. I will do something" Jin tried to be confident but he himself was scared.

"Please Jin! I don't want to die" she stated and started to cry. "You are not going to die, nothing like that would happen to you, I won't let that happen. I love you, okay. Don't panic, it's not good for your health, please" Jin begged her but he himself wanted to cry for putting his wife in this dangerous situation.
