Jules

I shouldn't be that surprised.

They took her to a real prison maybe, I don't know and don't care honestly.

Yes, she is my twin. Yes, we were close. Yes, I trusted her more than everyone in this fucking world. But from now I must find another person to tell all my stories to, to cry with, to play with and to love.

We are back home. Mom went directly to the police department, and 'she will be back in an hour' she told me. It's been 3 hours. Now I wonder where she'd been. My phone starts ringing. I also wonder who that would be in the middle of the night. I deeply hope its mom, with good news. I let it ring, not knowing whether I should pick it up or ignore my problems and continue living. It's annoying, really annoying, but I resist it and pick up the phone. The God-awful high pitch of the ringtone I never bothered to change still echoing in my ears. "Hello?"

"Hey, am I speaking to Julius Leonardo Wilson?"

Surely this is some kind of joke, I simply refuse to believe that of all the eight billion people on the world, this is the guy that decides to call me. The phone must be messing with his voice.

"Yes, may I ask why you are calling me at 11:30 PM?"

I ask. Because who the fuck does still call after 10 pm?

"Well, it's your mother and sister. They are here because your sister is suspected of murder. We will keep your sister at the police station until we decide whether she is guilty or not. Also, your mother wanted you to know that she will be there in an hour."

"May I ask you a question? Why doesn't my mother call me herself with her own phone and lets you call me? Also, what do you mean you suspect my sister?" he waits for a second and begins to tell me his long story.

"Your mother is also being suspected and her statement is being taken now. She just wanted me to tell you that she will be later, because she can't call you herself. And to your second question, your twin sister Janice Lily Wilson is being suspected because she was the only person there when it happened. Well, the only person alive." I think he made a joke. I don't know. What a dark sense of humor. "I will be there in 10 minutes." I hang up. I am rushing upstairs to get dressed. I finally found something to wear. I rush out of my room and go straight to the front door. I grab my keys and I don't even know what I am doing. When I realize where I am I also see that I have been running. My legs hurt.

I'm here since 12:13 am and its already 2:55 am. I wonder where my mother is. I wonder where they took my sister. I wonder why my biggest enemy called me, instead of my mother. I wonder why he still tries to traumatize me. After all he did. After all he did to me.

Suddenly I wake up from all my wondering and look into the window. 'I am still alive,' I whisper to myself.

'I am still alive, and I am very grateful of it.' I'm grateful to be here again. But I shouldn't be here. I just shouldn't. It happened here. I could have died here. No one believes me though. Sometimes I wonder if I wasn't dreaming, but no. I wasn't.

I see someone walking towards me. She has slightly curly brown hair and chocolate eyes like my aunt.

I could recognize her from I mile away because I know her.

"Hey." She greeted with a very high-pitched voice. I wonder if I should be talking to her. My mother declared I shouldn't talk to her, but now, that's my choice to make. I stand up and walk towards Mason.

"Hi." I say, that is the most I can get out of my lips. She stares at me for a second and asks "What are you doing here?" I look up at her. She is definitely three inches taller than me.

"I could ask you the same question." She stares deep into my eyes.

"Jules don't play with me, is Jane alright? What did they do to her? Where is your mother? Why are you alone outside this building, next to this cursed forest." My jaw drops. My ears can't believe what they've heard. My gaze connects with hers. Then I realize. She knows. I wonder how. I think mother told her. Why doesn't mother want me talking to her?

"Jules?"

"Oh yea, sorry, I just- uh never mind. My mother called me and told that her statement was being taken, so I just wanted to check but they don't let me in because of err -you know." She stares for one more second but then her eyes investigate another direction. She is watching a woman go inside the police department. Did I say go? No, she is rushing into the building. She looks like she just saw a ghost and didn't tell anyone about it. Yet.

"Jules you can't wait until they are done talking to them." She is looking at me like I am crazy. Actually it's not just her who thinks I am crazy.

"Mom told me she would be home by long away from now."

"Fine, just wait here alright? I'll be back in a second to walk you home."

"Alright, but first tell me what you are here for-" She turns around and walks inside the building like she didn't hear me.

"Don't move!"
