Melody's POV
This was taking forever! I'd been 'swimming' for forever, yet the orb didn't get any bigger, nor was I any closer! Was I even moving at this point? I was questioning everything. Except who I was.
I'd rather have an identity crisis somewhere I could stand still, not... wherever the hell i currently was. I crossed my arms and legs, a scowl on my face as I ultimately gave up on trying to get to the orb. Giving a small, quiet sigh, I decided that acting pissed off wouldn't get me any closer to said orb. Though, that didn't mean I wasn't pissed off. I was about to try and start moving again when suddenly there was an ear splitting explosion.
First, I was just sitting calmly, next thing I knew, there was a giant, fiery explosion right next to me! The force from said explosion sent me flying as a squeezed my eyes shut, and slammed my hands over my ears. Though, nothing really stopped the effect the explosion had on me. What the hell was that!? When I finally opened my eyes and looked around nothing seemed to change—
"Holy shit..."
I breathed out as my eyes widened, though I couldn't hear my own words due to my ears ringing, and being in space. There was an impossibly massive rock hopefully not to far from me. What is that?... I moved a little to the rock, and suddenly I felt something pulling me towards it. Not just a weird need to figure out what it is, either.
It was literally pulling me towards itself. I looked around, but it was only when the pull got stronger I really started to react. I tried backing away from the force but I couldn't. Or at least I was struggling. My eyes widened and I whimpered quietly, despite obviously not being able to hear it, as the suction only got stronger.
I tried more desperately to get away, afraid of what could happen on this mysterious rock. I was starting to panic as I couldn't escape. I glanced down— Was that a steady surface? The ground only got closer, my body feeling warmer and warmer. Was I supposed to be feeling this warm?
It was kind of comforting... to an extent. My body was starting to feel a little too warm. Then hot. Like it was burning my skin. I started to feel like a couldn't breath.
God, it burned! It didn't take long— not long at all for me to realize I was on fire. Or more, I cashed in a ball of flames. I gasped desperately for air, despite only smoke clogging my lungs. I desperately tried any possible way, which wasn't many, to put out the fire incasing my rapidly falling self.
Though, despite falling in a literal ball of flames, and being in as much pain as I was in, I was fine. I was physically unscathed. My skin, hair, clothes, and everything else was as if I was still trying to make my way to that one glowing orb. It was only a matter of time before I was screaming and crying over the pain I was in. Though for once, I could actually hear myself.
Probably because I wasn't in whatever subliminal place I was in before. It was still horrible despite that. Thankfully, not to long after, I hit the ground. A loud thud that could easily be mistaken for my bones snapping in half. At least the fire was put out and I wasn't in any fire related pain.
I could breathe again aswell. I slowly sat up, groaning quietly as I did so. What in the ever loving— me did I do to deserve this? Nothing, right? Well I thought so too, and apparently I was wrong.
Looking around, I couldn't help but think this place was beautiful. Big, green trees! Lucious, possibly even greener bushes! This like— like a dream land or something! At least until I heard a massive roar not to far from where I was. The sound sent shivers down my spine and I tensed.
Uh oh...
