Sarada's heart raced as her phone vibrated incessantly in her pocket, pulling her attention away from Konohamaru-sensei's lecture on Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation. She discreetly checked the screen and saw a flood of notifications from none other than Boruto. He's been trying to contact her since morning, and her stomach twisted into knots every time as she read his name popped on her phone. So, she try to ignore them as if nothing really happened.

This morning, Boruto even came early and was waiting at her classroom to get her, but she didn't really want to see him and chose to hide until the bell rang. He gives up and asks Chocho instead to give Sarada her bento box.

There's a dozen missed calls and lots, really lots of messages from him. She can peek the snippets of the text from her lock screen.

'Sarada'
'Answer my call'
'Please, we need to talk.'
'Don't ignore me!'
'Sarada!'

Sarada's heart pounded in her chest as she tried to focus on the lecture, but Boruto's persistent attempts to reach her had shattered any semblance of concentration she had left. With heavy sighs, she decided to turn off her phone and shove it back to her pocket.

The night spent in his presence left Sarada grappling with a realization she could no longer ignore. A palpable connection was undeniably forming between them, its tendrils weaving their way into her heart. Yet, despite the emotions swirling within her, she found herself unable to vocalize her burgeoning feelings. With a heavy heart and a voice choked with unspoken words, she quietly bid him farewell that fateful night, sealing her lips shut as he departed, leaving her alone in the silence of her thoughts.

"Memorize this part well, okay? This will appear in your final exam." Konohamaru-sensei ended his class by telling them all to take notes and memorize the content. After he dismisses them, he begins to pack his books and quit the classroom. It wasn't long before the bell rang, signaling the end of the lessons today.

Everyone got ready to leave the classroom. Some are packing their bags already, others walking slowly while chatting among themselves. The students start rushing out of their classrooms, eager to leave after having a taste of freedom.

"Want to go to karaoke today?" Chocho nudges her while packing their big orange school bag.

"Sure." Sarada shrugs.

"Great! Then we should hurry before all the good spots are booked!" She smiles, putting on her hoodie and picking up the rest of their stuff.

They exit the classroom together, chattering excitedly about who knows what. Their chatter died off, though, once they noticed a familiar figure standing near the door. It's Boruto.

"Sarada." He calls her sternly with a slight pout on his face.

She wanted to avoid this conversation, but there was nowhere else they could go in order to not attract anymore unwanted attention. She glanced around and noticed that almost everybody from her class had disappeared outside except for a few lingering around.

"I want to talk to Sarada." Boruto says as he walks up to Sarada. Chocho's mouth opened in surprise, but she stayed silent.

"What do you want?"

She turns away, giving Boruto space to speak freely. The boy looks uncomfortable but he speaks anyway. "Why didn't you answer my call or reply to my messages?" He asked, looking down.

Sarada sighs deeply, turning back to him, looking up at him, and then away from him.
"Do I have to?" She asked.

Her question was met with another awkward silence. Boruto looked at her with an expression that told her exactly what he thought. He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it as quickly as he starts talking. He doesn't look happy at all.
