65: Happy New Years!

KATY POV

Weeks passed and it is now New Years Eve. Bangtan and I had set up a campfire at the beach. It is now 8:00 pm and we are having fun. Yesterday, it was Taehyung's birthday, but we decided to celebrate it today so that we could celebrate New Years and his birthday at once. Jin and I prepared the food we cooked and the rest of the boys played in the water. Then, Jungkook suddenly came towards me, all wet.

"Jagi! Give me a hug!" He said and I ran away from him.

"Yah! I'm dried and I don't want to get wet!" I said and he smirked.

"I am the Kookie monster and I eat pretty girls for dinner!" He said foolishly and I laughed and ran away from him. We ran a couple times around the table Jin and I were setting up and Jungkook eventually got me, hugging me from the back and lifting me up while spinning me around. I let out a playful scream and laughed along with Jungkook. While he was lifting me, I put my head back onto his shoulder and he kissed my cheeks.

"Gotcha!" He said and I smiled at him.

"You got me wet! Aish you pabo!" I said and he chuckled.

"Oops." He said. Then, he let me go and I went back to join Jin again and he ran off back to the ocean. I watched him go, smiling to myself, only to realize moments later that Jin was watching me with a sad look.

"What is it Jin? Is something wrong?" I asked. He sighed and shook his head.

"I'm glad you're happy." He said and I gave him a sad smile.

"Thanks." I said. Then, we finished setting up the table in silence and took out the cake. After a few minutes, the rest of the boys joined us and we sang Happy Birthday for Taehyung.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR TAEHYUNG! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" We yelled. Then, Taehyung blew out the candles and we all clapped.

"Thanks guys." He said.

"No problem! Anything for our alien boy!" I said and the guys laughed. Then, we ate and by the time we were done, it was 10:30 pm.

"We still have one hour and thirty minutes. What should we do?" Jungkook asked.

"We should get the campfire started." I said and the boys agreed. We lit the fire and took out the skewers, marshmallows, chocolates, and graham crackers. We were definitely going to make s'mores. Then, we took our beach towels and chairs out and sat down around the fire. This was the seating order. Around the campfire sat Namjoon on a beach chair, Jhope and Suga on a beach towel, Taehyung on a beach chair, Jungkook and I on a beach towel, and Jin and Jimin on a beach towel next to us. Since it was cold, I took out the blankets and Jungkook and I cuddled to be warmer. I sat in between his legs and leaned back onto his chest while he had his hands around my waist. It was silent and the sound of fire wood cracking filled the air along with the sound of waves crashing onto the shore. I smiled and took in the fresh air.

"Guys, since we have an hour and fifteen minutes left, how about we talk about our New Year's Resolution, any confessions to the people in the group, any thank you's, and any problems? That way we can start off the new year happily?" I suggested and everyone agreed.

"Okay, I'll start..." Namjoon spoke up. "My New Year's Resolution is to win number one on the charts at least once this year. My confession is that... it really was me who broke Jin hyung's Mario action figure a couple months back... I'm sorry hyung, That's why I bought you a new one for your birthday. For thank you's, I thank everyone in this group for always being there for me despite my ability to destroy everything, and I hope we stay friends forever. Lastly, for problems... PARK JIMIN! Get some jams man! You're making me feel ashamed!" He concluded and everyone laughed. Then, Jhope went.
