Shawn adjusted the camera in his bag carefully, making sure it was ready to snap a photo when needed. He crouched down in the darkness, avoiding any sight that could possibly land on him.

This camera actually wasn't his— Wally found it in the projector booth when he went to dust up the music department. That place was all eerie and dusty now, but Wally still insisted on giving it a quick sweep, not under Joey's agreement.

He was fairly sure such a piece of technology would've definitely belonged to Norman, who had vanished without a trace. He stopped referring to them as "fired" now, as he was fairly certain something ominous happened to the music department.

If he could get proof of the dangers in Joey Drew Studios, he could use it as revenge against Joey, for wrecking the place that was once many people's safe haven, and for..

He bit down on his lips, forcing his thoughts to come to a halt.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Shawn's head made a sharp turn towards the source of the noise. Thomas Connor rushed into the room, clearly trying to soften his steps, although his clunky boots betrayed him. He looked around the room in a slight frantic, missing Shawn by just a bit. He rushed towards a panel on the wall, yanking it open and rummaging inside until he pulled out a strange-looking tube. After glancing over it a couple times, the engineer stuffed it in his pocket, and quickly made his way out, leaving the door open behind him.

Shawn made a perplexed expression. Normally, Thomas wouldn't leave a single door open. He couldn't help but question the reason behind such an action.

He huddled in the dark, readying his stance. He knew.. he knew Tom's schedule. He checked multiple times. Thomas would leave the room around this time, then Joey would come in, doing something that echoed screams, and then leave with a weird expression on his face.

This was just the first time he would actually be in the room at the same time as Joey.

He already snapped photos of peculiar objects and records and had them safe and sound, but this..

A photo with Joey doing his deeds would truly be the nail in the coffin.

He waited, and waited.

How long was he willing to wait? Shawn felt like it was a weird amount of patience he was carrying. Typical people would never wait this long for something they can't one hundred percent confirm, yet Shawn was still feeling as determined as the moment he stepped in the room.

There was no clock inside, nor any windows, so he couldn't tell how much time had passed.

Shawn solemnly pulled out the camera to double check it again.

Click, click..

The toy maker froze.

Those sounds didn't come from the camera.

He knew his back was pressed against the wall.

He looked up carefully, squinting at a bright light in the distance.

An otherworldly creature, its disfigured body dripping in slimy ink, its fingers longer than it should be, and a speaker lodged haphazardly in its chest.

The bright light, the most defining feature, came from the projector that served as its head. The light seemed to Shawn like an eye, an eye that penetrated through every nook and cranny in the room.

Shawn immediately tensed up. He had to take a photo. He was ready. He knew how to make the camera quieter.

But he didn't attribute to whether or not the opposing party would have such a gaze.
