Part 10.

The moment she had been waiting for....finally Bani gave her the go signal...where they were supposed to meet.

She then went and took a bath....wore new clothes....locked the doors and windows....took her bag...as well as a lunch box.

She went first to take food to her father as it was approaching lunch time...knowing he was also diabetic.... diabetic patients...need not to stay hungry for a long time.

Garage.
She found him talking to his colleagues....she excused herself...in order to have a word with him.

"Anika...my goodness...you need not to bring the food...all the way here....I was heading home," Shakti said.

"Come on...dad....it's not a big issue for me...as long as I take care of you," Anika replied.

"Your quite the charmer..... anyways....where are you heading of to....I can take you....hope on?" Shakti asked.

"Thanks dad...but I can manage on my own..plus we are in a new environment....I have to learn about the surroundings more," Anika replied.

"Still...you haven't answered my question yet...where are you going?" Shakti asked.

"Well....( A bit hesitant)....dad you remember yesterday...where I went looking for a job...( Shakti nods)...well....one of the agencies...contacted me....told me to go....they want to tell me something...regarding the job offer," Anika explained.

"So you got the job?" Shakti asked.

"Not yet....I still have to confirm...but let's have our fingers crossed.... anyways....you take care... before I forget...here is the keys of the house ( hands them over)...bye," Anika replied... leaving..she left.

"Thank goodness...that was a close shave...or else....I could be done for," Anika sighed.

She then walked towards the bus stop...as this was the place....Bani asked to meet up with her and to take her to somewhere confidential.

Bani saw her...she hooted the car...she heard it...the windscreen went down....Anika saw her....she went towards the car.

She hoped on.

She started driving.

"Now...tell me Anika....why did you have a change of heart....just like that....that too overnight?" Bani asked curiously.

"Well....a lot of problems at home...let me put it like that....am sorry but I can't go further," Anika replied.

"I understand...but you have no idea....how this means so much to me.....the truth is I can now have a sigh of relief," Bani replied.

"It's my pleasure.... anyways...where are you taking me??" Anika asked concerned.

"Don't worry....am just taking you to meet someone...you don't need to worry...you can trust her....I have full confidence in her," Bani replied.

Anika nodded in agreement.

Out of the blue...her phone started ringing....Bani knew whom it was...before looking at it.

"Miss Bani...sorry for invading your personal space...but....why aren't you taking the call...it maybe important?" Anika asked politely.

"Don't give much consideration....he isn't that important....you'll see... he'll grow tired of calling....( Phone stopped ringing)...see what did I tell you... before I forget... don't call me Miss Bani...just Bani... okay?" Bani replied.

"Bani," Anika said.

"There we go," Bani replied.

She stopped the car....she told her they have arrived...she parked the car....then lead the way....( It was a small modern bungalow)...she rang the doorbell....the gate was opened for them...it was Malika...she then gestured them to come inside.
