Part 23.

"Ladies and gentlemen.....dudes and dudets...all walks of life.....you guessed it right.....yes...both our favorite segment....the music ceremony......prepare your dance shoes..... because it's time to dance.....but .....first thing first....I dedicate the dance floor....to the new couple in town.....Bani and Shivaay....the dance floor is all yours," Dj said.

"Shall we?" Shivaay requested.
"I have to left feet.....you can go and ask someone else....I won't mind," Anika replied.
"Come on...we aren't in a dance competition...we are here to have fun," Shivaay replied.
"But....," Anika replied interrupted by him.
"No it's and buts," Shivaay replied....grabbing her hands....they went on stage...the spotlight pointing at them.

At first....Anika was nervous.... because she felt she could make a fool of herself....as well as him....as she didn't know how to dance....whereas him....from what she read...he is a professional dancer and choreographer......but....when he placed his hands on her waist....she doesn't know how...but she felt comfortable......moreover.....looking at his blue oceanic eyes.

I'm in a field of dandelions

Wishing on dandelions all of the time
Praying to God that one day you'll be mine..........

They danced so beautifully.......with Shivaay.... twirling her around..... everyone was awwed by their dance....apart from...one person....you guessed it Ragini....she was steaming with jealousy...at the same time anger......what was making her more angry....was people commenting on how they look beautiful together....a perfect pair...match in heaven.....then an idea popped on her mind....she stood up...then went to the open bar.

She tapped a certain gentleman.

"Excuse me.....may I have this dance," Ragini requested.
"Now you are interested....a while ago.....you told me to leave you alone.....that my sight....makes you feel disgusted...and want you to throw up," Gent explained.
"Sorry about that....it's because I had a lot to drink....pretty please....I said am sorry," Ragini replied.
"Okay...your lucky I don't hold grudges....let bygones be bygones....let's go," Gent replied.

They went to the dance floor.....they were next to Shivika....Ragini was agitated....seeing them happy....it was time to make her move....she on perhaps stepped on Anika's foot..Anika writhed in pain.

"Sorry my bad...it's too bad you guys were dancing beautifully,"Ragini said.

Anika wasn't convinced....by her apology.... because from meeting her.....she's sensing bad vibes with her.......but she didn't want to add fuel to fire.....as there was already drama going on.

"It's fine....no worries....I'll go and take a seat...as it is....am already tired from dancing," Anika replied... about to leave.....Ragini smirking as her plan worked.... unfortunately....it seems luck wasn't on her side.... Shivaay stopped her.

Anika turned confused.

"You can't go like this....your injured....I'll take you to my room.... to have some rest for the time being," Shivaay replied....Anika tried giving him excuses...it was okay...not to make a mountain out of an anthill...but it was all in deaf ears.... Shivaay carried her by his arms...and took her to his room.....Ragini was left with an egg on her face....she tried drifting them poles apart...but she seems to be bringing them together.....like cupid.

"Ahh!!!...curse you....Bani Mehta....you haven't seen the last of Ragini Gupta," Ragini thought.

The gentleman who accompanied her on stage came before her.

"Shall we continue dancing...the matter has been resolved right...come on," gent requested.
"Do I look as if I want to dance with you....get lost!!" Ragini yelled.

He left.

"This girl is very strange...she wants one thing to the other....I know......what will make me feel better.... another shot," gent said to himself..... leaving.

"Ladies and gentlemen...you may continue enjoying yourselves...as it is the matter has been resolved," Tej said over the mike....people continued enjoying themselves.

Shivaay's bedroom.
He opened the door....then gently placed Anika on his bed....Anika still lost looking at him....as she can't believe it....she danced with him...now carried by him...it all appeared like a dream.....she wished she didn't have to go home... because it was magical.

She saw Shivaay going to his drawer.......and brought....an ointment.....he was about to apply it.....when she refused saying...she can manage.

"Shivaay...let it be....I can do it....it's not the first time....I have applied it on myself....let it be...you have already done enough already," Anika said.

"No...ifs and buts....Bani...your clearly not thinking straight...your injured.....I'll apply ointment on it," Shivaay replied.

"Does it bother you when am injured?" Anika asked.

"Of course....( Anika smitten)....( Until he ended up finishing)...Bani," Shivaay replied.

Reality started downing upon her..he liked Bani not her...as she was only but an imposter.

"Shivaay....am feeling much better.....I'll go and join the rest... okay," Anika replied.

"Bani....I haven't finished yet....," Shivaay replied...but she wore her heels and left.

"I wonder what happened now...she was alright...me applying it.....heavens knows," Shivaay said to herself.

Anika was walking in the corridor.... going to the party...when tears started cascading down her cheeks.

"Snap out of it.... Anika.... Shivaay is only in love with Bani... nobody else.... you're only an imposter..... concentrate on only the job you came for," Anika thought....she bumped into Ragini.

"Sorry," Anika apologized.

"You better be..... because I don't know what game you are playing Bani....but trust me....I'll definitely find out...... then I'll personally kick you out of his life," Ragini threatened.

"What are you waiting for..... nobody is holding you back....go ahead," Anika gave her a fitting reply....and left....making her left perplexed......."So much overconfidence....but the thing about overconfidence....is that it can make one too complacent...then boom her downfall,"Ragini said to herself.

Anika now realized the blunder she had done.

"What was I thinking....what if...she finds out am not the real Bani...but an imposter....relax Anika....if I behave this....she'll realize... something is definitely going on....( Breaths in and out)...there I go....now...let me join the rest,"Anika said to herself.
