Part 72.

Vikram's company.
Vikram notices that ever since Anika arrived in office.....she has been distracted probably because of whatever happened yesterday.....he stands from his desk and goes to Anika......who is still cleaning the table.....even though she finished doing it a while ago.

He taps her shoulders gently......with the intention of not frightening her.......she comes back to reality.

"Ooh sir.....I mean Vikram....do you need anything coffee....sugar....files....you just tell me....I'll be back with it ASAP," Anika said.

"Thanks for the gesture but am fine...... anyways you seem to be lost......is it because you are still troubled by whatever took place yesterday??" Vikram asked concerned.

"Me......ooh please......I have more important things to think about than yesterday....now if you excuse me.....I'll take my leave," Anika explained....no sooner did she want to go....when he grabbed her hands.

"Vikram!!" Anika replied confusingly.

"Sorry about that....but Anika didn't you say we are friends.....friends share everything with another......I very know how strong you are.....but even the strong people fall sometimes.....I don't mind....you sharing it with me.... moreover a problem half shared is half solved.... isn't it?" Vikram replied.

"Fine....you win Vikram.....I'll share whatever am going through with you," Anika agreed.

He offered her to seat on a chair and brought a chair next to her to listen to whatever she must be going through.

Anika started from how....she looked for a job to how she met Bani......ever since she met her....her life has been messed up.....but the only good thing that came from her encounter was meeting Shivaay....her crush and then falling in love with him........how she wanted to tell him the whole truth....but circumstances didn't allow her to do so.....then came the wedding....how chaotic it was.....Bani stopping it......how Shivaay threw her out....but his anger was justified since he was the victim.......and right now with things the way they are.....it's all complicated..... Shivaay doesn't want to ever listen to all she had to say....after all....they are two sides of a coin...as well as a story.

"You probably think the worst of me right?" Anika explained.

"No..... because....also....some point in our lives....we also make mistakes........if I were in your shoes.....I could have done the same thing....I mean we are human after all.......have you heard of the song.....I don't know the artist but I do only now the lyrics......."Am only human,"....... anyways you shouldn't beat yourself too hard after all your trying your level best to rectify your mistakes....others wouldn't even bother to try,"Vikram encouraged.

Anika was moved by his words......she hugged him.......Vikram on the other hand didn't know what to do.....after all Anika made it pretty crystal clear......the man she will only love is Shivaay and nobody else.....but he couldn't ignore....the pain she must be undergoing through......he reciprocates too...........out of the blue..... Shivaay comes in as he found the door open......( His head down)........." Vikram....sorry for barging in.... without knocking....but I was so the door opened so I came in......( He looked up....since he didn't get a response from him)......then he saw Anika and Vikram hugging each other.....it wasn't those friendly hugs.....rather intimate.

"Sorry....I didn't mean to interrupt them both of you......I'll leave....I'll get to you later ," Shivaay replied leaving.

He left.

Anika stood up quickly and followed him with Vikram left stranded.

Shivaay's cabin.
Anika comes in.

"Shivaay.... whatever you saw there.......," Anika explained interrupting by him.

"It's okay Anika....you have moved on....great for you.......you don't need to give me any explanations.....after all Vikram is soon going to be your better half.......am so happy for the both of you guys....kudos," Shivaay replied facing backwards.....deep inside completely broken.

"REALLY??" Anika asked curiously.

"Yes....why wouldn't I be," Shivaay replied.

"Because......you're clearly pouring coffee....take a look......( He found coffee pouring from coffee machine.....as the mug was now full)," Anika replied.

"Ooh shit...what the fuck!!" Shivaay replied closing the coffee machine but in the process spilt on his hands hot coffee.....he writhed in pain........"Show me...let me have a look," Anika said.....bringing his hands closer to her.......she started blowing air into it.....then went and brought napkin from the table to clean it up.....she was about to....when he stopped her.

"Shivaay....what's the problem.....am only cleaning it up," Anika explained.

"Leave it.....am not a kid gardener......who doesn't know how to take care of himself.....you should go.....who knows....your fiancee might have spilled coffee on himself too and needs your help........you should go and wipe it for him.....after all you are the lovey dovey couple who like to show off your feelings and affection to one another.....now get moving," Shivaay replied angrily.....unaware revealing his feelings and emotions.

Anika knew the drill she left closing the door behind her and smiling.... although  her and Omru thought Rudy's plan flopped.....it didn't actually......she now knew..... Shivaay was in love with her..... because of his outburst....he had shown.
