⚜ 𝕻𝖆𝖘𝖙 (𝕴𝕴) ⚜

After the harsh rejection by Yoongi, their friendship started to waver. Once close friends and sworn brothers now didn't even glance at each other. Once they used to agree on everything but now they have different opinions. 

Jimin didn't allow that rejection to break him. He had felt pain when he and his feelings were rejected but had felt worse when Yoongi ignored him totally for a month without even acknowledging his presence and suddenly declaring he had a beautiful lover who also belonged to the nobility. How could Yoongi do that to him? Did he even consider for a minute his feelings?

 Well, if Yoongi wanted that then he would also ignore him. Jimin understood he would never get Yoongi and his love after all Yoongi was from a noble family and he was just a peasant.

Once he had met Yoongi at the inn where they used to go together when they were friends but now Yoongi was there with his so-called lover and Jimin was alone. There was a pang of pain in his heart when he saw the sight where Yoongi's hand around her waist and she was blushing. Tears were threatening to fall from his eyes but he managed to control it. Their eyes suddenly met and both of them were silent.

"Congratulations."

With that, Jimin walked away promising to overcome his feelings towards that cruel man and never to talk with him again. Finally, large drops of tears fell from his eyes. Fortunately, none was there to see his heartbreaking and painful state. Yoongi looked in the direction where Jimin had gone for a while, feeling guilt in his heart. 

Jimin's voice was full of sadness when he congratulated them. He knew he was wrong for doing this to Jimin but it was necessary. Jimin was his best friend and will always be. He just gave him some space for Jimin to remove such feelings towards him.

That incident changed their relationship and mostly changed Jimin. He started to train daily and rarely participated in fun activities. He kept himself busy and occupied by training hard. He had to reach a high position enough to stand alongside those nobles. He had to have a special status to give a good life to his family. Just being a soldier for the kingdom was not enough. He had to be the commander and be respected by all. This now became his main goal and was the best way to divert those unwanted feelings.

The once cheerful Jimin became Jimin who rarely smiled and stayed silent. He was always active in training and always did his best becoming the first rank in every training test and completing different missions for the safety of the kingdom. His close relationship with Yoongi was also shattered. 

They didn't glance at each other, talking was a far-fetched matter. Even when they talked it was about official and military matters and they always fought. The once close friends became enemies in a glance who couldn't even stand the presence of each other.

When His Highness Jeon Jungkook ascended the throne, both of them were 21 years old and were promoted to the post of commander. They both had their teams which they chose. Both teams avoided each other and were known as the most rivalled teams. They became very famous successful commanders within a short time by completing every mission and safeguarding the kingdom. They became everyone's favourite commander but the relationship of both commanders was still cold and distant.

It was in the second year of the rule of King Jimin that Commander Jimin had a special mission. This mission was very dangerous and hard almost A level threat for the kingdom. Commander Yoongi had also wanted to go with him but he kept silent thinking it was not his matter to intervene and he also believed in Commander Jimin's ability. When Commander Jimin left for the mission, Yoongi just hoped for their safe return.

But fate had other plans. The mission was just to kill bandits on the border of the Raven kingdom and the southern kingdom but it was a trap. The southern armies had been disguising themselves as the bandits and were waiting for them to fall into their trap. Commander Jimin was still calm after finding it. They were small in number and they could easily defeat those bandits aka southern armies. The battle lasted for three days and they were winning. His soldiers just had simple injuries and none had died.
