 King Jungkook and Taehyung enjoyed some peaceful time as Lady Harin went away angrily without disturbing them. King Jungkook knew he also had to tell Taehyung about the engagement and was thinking about how Taehyung would react. He was still hugging Taehyung from behind and Taehyung was leaning on his chest. 

He kissed Taehyung's neck and said, "You know I love you right."

Taehyung slightly smiled and said, "Yes." 

Yes, I know even if you treated me like shit.

King Jungkook tightly embraced him and said, "My engagement with Lady Harin has been announced after two weeks."

King Jungkook felt Taehyung in his arms stiffing. There was no response from Taehyung and the atmosphere was silent. 

Just the cold breeze was blowing making Taehyung feel even colder. He knew it would happen and he understood it very clearly previously in a hard way but still, he felt like crying now. He somehow managed to smile and said, "En. Congratulations then."

"Are you not angry?" King Jungkook asked.

"What can I do even if I become angry? You'll not stop your engagement, right? So congratulations." Taehyung said.

"Even if I get married, you know I'll only love you. You're the only one I love."

"Um, and I am glad for that." King Jungkook didn't know whether Taehyung was being sarcastic or not.

Days passed by quickly. Taehyung had already managed to control his feelings as he was also preparing for the worst. His bright eyes were slowly starting to get dull. The smile on his face was fading away. He always looked tired and lifeless. He felt like he was in a prison in the royal palace. The only place where he felt free was at his teacher's place. His teacher treated him like his own son and loved him. He only felt free here and was glad there was someone who accepted him as he was. 

His teacher was always worried about his state and asked why he was always spending his time here. Taehyung just didn't like staying in the palace where the preparation for his so-called lover's engagement was going on. Every day lady Harin would come and tell him things that hurt him in his heart. Since then he had avoided meeting anyone.

Taehyung also didn't know whether King Jungkook was oblivious or simply didn't understand him. He couldn't notice the difference in his state from previous to now. King Jungkook wasn't feeling any remorse and was continuing to behave as usual. 

He had heard that King Jungkook reprimanded Lady Harin after she had exposed their engagement to his highness. He didn't know what King Jungkook did but after that Lady Harin came to him and cursed him. He just stood silent thinking he had no right to say back anything as he was the one who came between them. Lady Harin and King Jungkook were destined from the beginning and he was just an intruder.

One week had already passed and the palace was being decorated so beautifully that it looked a fairy tale. Taehyung was just roaming around the palace and finally sat under the tree which was his favourite tree. He just liked lying on the ground and looking at the sky. King Jungkook suddenly came and asked, "What are you doing here like this?"

Taehyung was still closing his eyes as he answered, "Nothing just lying down."

King Jungkook knew after that incident their relationship had been strained. It was like their relationship was kept by a single thin thread that was ready to be snapped anytime. He could feel Taehyung's distant behaviour. There were only kisses with no intimacy and Taehyung also avoided any physical relationship. He didn't know how long would it take for Taehyung to accept everything. He was willing to wait. King Jungkook also signed and sat beside Taehyung. Both of them were silent.

Taehyung silently opened his eyes and saw King Jungkook's distressed face. He asked, "What's the matter? You look stressed."

"Nothing. It's just that my cousin is arriving tomorrow."

"Then why are you so worried? It's your cousin. You must be happy."

King Jungkook's expression darkened and Taehyung shut his mouth. King Jungkook's eyebrows furrowed and said, "It's not like I am not happy. I am worried about you."

Taehyung looked at King Jungkook confusingly as he sat up and asked, "Why are you worried about me? I don't even know your cousin and he also doesn't know me."

King Jungkook sighed and said, "That's the problem here. He hasn't seen you and doesn't know you. I am worried that he will also fall for you."

"What? How can you be so sure?"

King Jungkook held Taehyung's hand and said, "He is like me. I mean he is strong, he has the same taste as me. We are both cousins and rivals. We compete for everything. Having similar tastes means he also may fall for you as I did. I'm worried about that."

King Jungkook saw Taehyung's shocked face and continued, "We have always been competing since childhood to get what we want and never got along. I am sure you are his ideal type too."

"If he likes me then that doesn't mean I'll like him too."

King Jungkook kissed Taehyung's fingertips and said, "I know and don't even dare to. You are only mine and you only belong to me."

Crazy desire and possessiveness could be reflected in King Jungkook's eyes. Taehyung didn't know whether King Jungkook loved him or was only obsessed with him.

Taehyung pushed back King Jungkook's raven hair which was falling on his forehead and said, "Don't worry. I'll only love you for this lifetime. I don't have heart to spare for others anymore now."

King Jungkook pecked Taehyung's lips and possessively said, "And afterlife too. I'll never let you go."

Taehyung was silent and didn't know what to say. He just knew he was in love with this man and their relationship was toxic. He couldn't believe he was such a masochistic person to stay with the person who hurt him and will hurt him in the future too. That piece of paper was nothing to him. If he could he would have just committed suicide but thinking about how Lady Harin will take his place and concern for his father's well-being after he dies made him stay alive. He will make sure King Jungkook will stay by his words. After all, he was also a sucker for King Jungkook, a heartbreaker.

"By the way, where had your cousin gone?"

"He was studying in Falcon kingdom. He was always interested in exploring everything so, he went to Falcon Kingdom. He had completed his study and is returning tomorrow."

King Jungkook paused for a second and hugged Taehyung, "As I have thought, I shouldn't let him meet you. Should I just lock you up?"

Taehyung knew King Jungkook got jealous very easily and do what he had said. He thensaid, "Please don't. I'll just treat him as a good acquaintance, okay? Happy now?"

King Jungkook nodded his head and said, "Yes. Happy."

"Please only love me forever."
