Lord Hwang was taken back to the Hwang manor by his guard, who had already fainted because of blood loss and pain. He didn't forget to curse King Jungkook for one last time before fainting. As soon as he was brought back, he was taken to his room and the doctor requested the treatment. Everyone was worried about him mostly Lady Harin and her mother.

Soon after the treatment the doctor came out and was surrounded by the Hwang family members.

"How is my father?" The eldest son of lord Hwang asked.

"You don't have to worry, my lord. The cut isn't deep and he was only hurt on the surface but it will still leave a scar. I have bandaged his eyes and the cut parts and he may have problems in vision in his left eye." The doctor explained.

Everyone sighed in relief, thinking it wasn't a life-threatening injury, but why did his highness injure lord Hwang? Lord Hwang's wife, Hwang Mira came forward and rushed inside the room to see her husband and soon everyone went in one after another. The large drops of tears started to fall from Mira's eyes as soon as she saw her husband's poor state.

"Oh, my husband! What has happened to you?" Mira wailed kneeling beside the bed, holding lord Hwang's hand. Lady Harin and her mother just stood there with a sad face. The two sons of lord Hwang moved to their mother to console her.

"I heard that his highness did it because he was talking about the engagement." One of them said.

Lady Mira suddenly stood up wiping her tears and walked towards Lady Harin. She looked at her with hatred clenching her jaws.

"Why is it always you? Just for your happiness and wishes, my husband has to get hurt."

Lady Harin's mother pushed Lady Harin behind her and said, "Please don't blame my daughter, sister-in-law. She doesn't have any involvement in this."

"Don't make me say how hypocritical you mother and daughter are. Just because I don't say anything doesn't mean I can't see my husband's inclination towards both of you. He treats your daughter like his real daughter and does everything for her ignoring his real sons. She and you always come first before me and my sons. Why?" Lady Mira shouted.

"Mother, calm down. " The eldest son told her hugging her shoulders.

"Calm down!? How can I calm down after seeing him like this? And it is all because of this brat. Why do you all spoil her so much? Because your father tried to speak for her, he got in this state."

Lady Harin's mother and Lady Harin were looking at her angrily. "Let's go." Lady Harin was pulled by her mother out of the room.

"B-But mother, u-u..."

"Shhh.. not now. We can visit later."

"Don't ever visit him, you ominous women." Lady Mira shouted from inside.

Back in the palace, King Jungkook was storming towards his room. As he entered, he saw Taehyung on the balcony feeding the birds. A natural smile formed on his face as soon as he saw that gentle sight. Taehyung was only wearing a white shirt which only reached up to his thighs exposing his long and thin legs. His hair was left open and was swaying softly covering his forehead. Taehyung was smiling and feeding the birds on his hand.

Taehyung was feeding the birds when he was suddenly hugged from behind and was carried and made to sit on the railing of the balcony. He quickly hugged that person's shoulders in fear of falling and that person also hugged his waist tightly so that he won't fall.
