⚠️ TW! Anxiety, panic attacks ⚠️

—IVY'S POV—
(Aged 19, a few minutes earlier)

"FUCKING FINALLY" I yelled as me and Astra finally found the main hall. 'Oh my god this is finally happening, I'm in university! Wait I need to find Luca' Excitement had overtaken me a few minutes ago as we were walking in, but the idea of seeing my boyfriend Luca again sent me over the edge, without thinking I sprant of into the crowd, leaving Astra alone in the middle of the room. All I could her as I was running away was the faint voice of my best friend shouting "keep your voice down!", 'typical Astra, always trying to lay low'. As I slipped in-between the crowd all I could think about was Luca, it hasn't been that long since we last met up but God I missed him.

You see, me and Luca met back in summer, when we were both staying in the same hotel. He was there with his dad on a business trip for a few weeks and I was there on a two week family vacation. We initially met on the beach pier, it was getting late so i decided to go down and watch the sunset. Unknowingly Luca came up behind me with the same intentions, but I was to entrapped but the sunsets array of colors that I didn't acknowledge his presence until he spoke up. "Mind if I join you?" He politely asked in a subtle New York accent. "Yeah sure, my names Ivy, nice to meet you." I said, to which he simply replied "Luca". We spent the rest of the evening talking and getting to know each other up until to my curfew, as we said our goodbyes he suggested that we do this again tomorrow, I couldn't say no, not to that charming personality. Plus it's not like there's many other people I could have talked to, our hotel was filled with old pensioners and rich snobs.

As the weeks went on I found myself spending more time with him than my own family, he seemed to do the same as I never once saw his dad. Over the course of the holiday we got closer than ever, but unfortunately I had to leave, to my surprise on my last night Luca had asked me down to the pier we first met at, we did the exact same activities, enjoying and basking in the orange lighting, when randomly Luca plucked up the courage to Ask me out. Obviously I said yes, how could I not? I wasn't quite sure how our relationship would work out when I returned to the states, he was a city kid over in New York while I was a countryside nobody over in Tennessee.

Later that night I left for my flight, it was a long 9 hour ride giving me enough time to ponder how this was going to work. The first thing I did when we landed was Check my phone for his notification, luckily for me he had sent me a few chats while I was in the air. The first one being "hey Ivy, I know your not going to see this for a while but my dads got a new job in Tennessee! He said it will be similar time to however long uni will last so I'll be able to finish my education with you :) - love your bf, Luca" When I tell you my heart almost melted I mean it. This boy is willing to move state with his dad for me, that's dedication. I guess that's where we left off in the summer.

As I continued to force my way though the dense sea of people I managed to get a glimpse of the schools new owner at the front of the room, he was a tall man so stuck out quite easily. Despite the current fame in a small town he was quite calmly situated in the front of a crowd of journalists answering questions, stood next to him was his son who looked oddly familiar... 'wait a damn minute is that- LUCA?!?! OH MY GOD, I'm dating a millionaire...' Thoughts instantly flooded
my mind consuming my every thought. As I stood there jaw dropped, he turned around, his pale grey eyes locking onto mine. I took a moment to compose myself before confidently walking over with a soft smile on my face. "Hey ivy, how are you?" He asked making opening move "I'm great now that I've seen you" I replied in a cheerful tone, trying to hide the anxiety that was very obviously plastering my face. "I would like you to meet my parents" he continued while gesturing over to some very powerful looking people; His dad was a very tall, pleasant looking yet serious man, dressed in a well tailored royal blue suit, next to him stood a slightly shorter but elegant woman dressed in a matching floor length gown. 'Dang this kid won the gene lottery...'
