Harriette stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, hands absentmindedly tracing her naked body, soft skin unblemished by scars from years of battles and abuse.
She's never seen her skin so...clear before, so perfect...
Every last mark across her skin was gone, every scrape and scar a reminder of all the pain she had endured.
Gone...
She had been too high on adrenaline yesterday to notice, to focused on keeping Teddy safe above all else while in this new world to really notice but the proof was clear as day right before her.
Not a single scar in sight. No lashes on her back from the abuse she suffered at the Dursley's, no burns going up the side of her hip from outflying that Horntail back in fourth year, no Lightning bolt scar, hell not even a faded outline of it...
No slash against her right wrist...
Her skin looked to be as untouched as the day she was born, not a thing out of place.
Harriette sighed under her breath, trying to keep her breathing calm as she finally turned away from the mirror and walked over to the shower. She turned on the faucet and stepped in, sighing as the hot water started flowing down her body.
After the day she had, a hot shower was very much appreciated.
After waking up, Teddy and her had breakfast before Andi came over to pick up her son. After making her son promise to behave, she reluctantly parted from him, unable to quench the slight worry and panic she carried around now that they had been separated.
It had only been them for so long, suddenly having Teddy not with her was staggering to say the least.
She didn't have much time to ponder on it though, for true to his word Croaker had gotten the testers and booked out the entire morning for her to take her NEWT's that hopefully wouldn't suck.
Spending a year in a tent with Hermione though, while trying to teach her son new things she was bound to pick up on her best friend's mannerisms at one point. During that year she had read as much as she could to try and pass the time and surprisingly as she went though each test, she found the material very easy for her to understand and she could answer the questions with ease.
It was only after lunch that she had finally taken her last test, the ones that she was willing to take that is.
She definitely didn't take no potions or history exam, for obvious reasons. Snape hated her guts, reminding him too much of her mother that it had hurt to be around her so he took his anger and frustration out on her and history...
Well, no one paid attention in Binns class.
After her tests though and sayings a quick goodbye to Saul, the man promising to send her scores to her once he got them the woman then went off to Gringrotts to settle her affairs and see what she needed to do now that she was Head of House Peverell.
She was stuck in that bank, for four hours...
Going over her assets, properties she owned and investments. It was all so very boring to her but she knew she had to do it, if she wanted to make a home here for herself and Teddy she had to get all this boring stuff out of the way first.
Much to her amusement, she learned that the Peverell's had an entire vault full of Galleons and heirlooms.
A vault, she had already looted back in her timeline.
The contents of all the vault she owned back in her world was still safely tucked away in her expandable trunk that remained attached to her belt, all the heirlooms, Family Grimmore, money and even the lord, lady and heir rings for the Potter's, Black's and the Peverell's, the Lady ring for the Peverell's still safely nestled onto her pointer finger.
