Harriette gripped ahold of her son with all her strength, keeping him against her chest while her eyes tracked the movement happening around them, "Hold on Teddy, I've got you. I've got you." She said shakily, secretly glad that her son had his eyes buried into her jacket.
Watching as they were pulled from their position, seemingly traveling at speeds unknown through some type of portal, all the colors of the rainbow flashing before her eyes it was almost too much for her brain to process it all.
She could feel how they were moving, but at the same time it felt as if she was just standing still and there was heavy winds blowing beside her.
Her grip on her son never once faltered though, not wanting to take the chance of something happening to him if she let go.
Before she knew it, she saw a light at the end of the psychedelic tunnel they found themselves in and after only another few moments of travel, the portal they had been in spat them out.
About twenty feet from the ground below them.
Harriette's eyes widened and she had just enough time to twist her body so her back was pointed at the ground while her arms kept her son safely against her chest.
Sure enough, the impact took the wind out of her as soon as she hit the ground and she felt herself slid across the grass below her now aching back .
After sliding for a few seconds, she finally stopped moving and as soon as she realized that she was one, on solid ground again and two there was no one there to capture or kill them her tense shoulders relaxed and she let out a pain filled groan.
"That hurt." She hissed softly, making her son shakily raise his head from her chest and look around their surroundings hesitantly before turning back to her with concern behind his eyes.
"Are you okay?" Teddy asked, eyes roaming over her face to try and see any sign that she wasn't feeling good causing Harriette to smile softly up at him even as her back screamed at her in protest.
"I'm good. Just knocked the wind out of me is all." She said, moving them both to sit upright on the ground making the woman slightly wince. She looked down at the ground below her though when she was sitting up straight and couldn't help the soft hum of amusement that left her mouth at the dent they left when falling. "We're lucky the Hallows didn't drop us from any further up." She mused.
"Hallows? What did you do? How did you get us out of there?" Teddy asked with a titled head from his position sitting on her lap, eyes sparkling with the promise of learning something new.
Harriette sighed, "I wanted to get us to safety. I saw how many people were surrounding us and...and I couldn't take them all on while also trying to protect you so I asked the Hallows to get us out of there." She shrugged, "Since all three of them are bonded to me, they heeded my wish, although...I have no idea where we are." She said, looking around the clearing they landed in and noting that there was a pathway into the forest not far away.
Sensing that they weren't in any immediate danger, she stood up and placed Teddy back on the ground and quickly waved her hand around to cast a pain relief spell on her back.
Harriette sighed in relief once the spell settled onto her back. If she hadn't been wearing her Basilisk scale jacket though, it could've been a lot worse.
"Come on, let's see if we can figure out where we are." She said, offering her hand for Teddy to take which he did without complaint.
The two then set off towards the forest and followed the pathway until they reached the outskirts of a small village a half an hour later. Harriette hesitated for a moment before deciding to risk it.
