With a surge of energy, Trevor activated the pendant, feeling a warmth radiate through him. "We won't let you harm anyone else!" he shouted, directing the light toward Nyx.
As the light met the darkness, a fierce battle erupted. Shadows clashed against the glowing aura, illuminating the clearing. The woods around them echoed with the sounds of Nyx's wrath and Trevor's defiance.
"Foolish boy!" Nyx screamed, her voice twisting with fury. "You think you can banish me? I am eternal!"
"You're not Nyx! You're a monster!" Trevor yelled, channeling his fear into determination. Aria stood beside him, her own resolve shining through the darkness.
The pendant pulsed brighter, the energy swirling around them like a protective shield. "Together, we can do this!" Aria urged, grasping Trevor's hand.
Together, they focused their thoughts on Nyx, calling out the memories they cherished—the laughter, the adventures, the friend they once knew. "We remember who you were, Nyx! Fight back!"
The darkness surrounding Nyx flickered, revealing glimpses of the girl they had known. "No... you can't... I don't want to lose this power!" she cried, her voice trembling between two worlds.
"We're not letting you go!" Trevor shouted, pushing the pendant's light forward. "Remember who you are!"
For a moment, it seemed as if the true Nyx was breaking through. Her eyes softened, and the shadows hesitated, swirling uncertainly.
But then, the darkness roared back, engulfing her once more. "You think you can save me? I'll drag you into the abyss!"
