Will it be okay? • Atsushi x Akutagawa

Chapter three

Dazai-san
Narrators POV

Atsushi wondered why Akutagawa blushes so much, realising how much he actually blushes was surprising for the little tiger as he thought his rival was cold and not easily embarrassed like this.

Or was it embarrassment? It could've been something else as well, but Atsushi couldn't think of any examples..

As the both of them walked, they saw that a part of the corridor wasn't lighten up at all.

"I hope you're not scared of the dark." Akutagawa spoke.

"Oh come on... I'm not afraid." Atsushi answered.

They both started walking into the darkness, there was light down the corridor, just it looked very far away.

It was getting pitch black, Akutagawa had no problem about that.

But Atsushi kept thinking they'd get lost..

Atsushi grabbed Akutagawa's hand.

Akutagawa let out a very gentle gasp of surprise, he was ready to attack. But then he realised it wasn't a guard, it was just Atsushi.

As it was dark, the sudden blush on Akutagawa's face wasn't visible, luckily.

"What are you doing. Man-tiger." Akutagawa's voice was filled with confusion.

"I don't want to get lost, what if we somehow lose each other?"

"Would it even matter?"

"To me"

"I don't-" But Akutagawa got interrupted

"And Dazai-san definitely.."

The mention of Dazai shut Akutagawa up again.

He didn't want to make Dazai unhappy with himself.

He just wanted to make him proud, get some praise from the man for once.

"What's up with you and Dazai-san?" Atsushi asked from curiosity.

Atsushi realised that Akutagawa always did what Dazai wanted, at the mention of his name he was put back on track too.

"That is none of your business, man-tiger." Akutagawa answered coldly.

"Okay.."

They both walked in silence after that.

While walking, Akutagawa accidentally stepped onto Atsushi's foot.

"Ow!" Atsushi spoke "you stepped on my shoe!"

"Yes."

"No sorry..?" Atsushi asked in surprise.

"No."

"You're mean..."

"Yes."

They continued walking once again.

There wasn't much between the boys now, they are rivals that have to work together for some mission.

They were bored and deprived of light for the moment.

And they were still holding hands...
