"WELL..." Dustin starts, pausing as he attempts to find the words, before giving up. "I got nothing."
"It's Vecna, obviously," Robin suggests.
"Yeah, his body disappeared after we shot him. We assumed he was dead, but-"
"Will said he could feel him," Mike adds, and the boy nods in agreement. "He said he was weak. Hurt."
"So how is he orchestrating all of this?" Lucas questions.
"Who the hell is Vecna?" Hopper raises his eyebrows.
"Wait, I'm sorry, if we're answering questions, can you explain how you're not dead right now?" Gianna flares her hands out.
"Yes, I was wondering that as well," Leo narrows his eyes, pushing his glasses up.
"Kidnapped by Russians. Joyce and Murray broke me out."
"The conspiracy theorist?" Leo furrows his eyebrows.
"He's actually pretty insightful," Jonathan shrugs.
"Eh," Erica shrugs.
"This is not important-" Joyce shakes her head.
"She's right, we need to focus on a plan," Mike stands up, and everyone looks over, mutually shocked to see him taking initiative for the first time in years. It would be Bianca to kick him into gear.
"We can't make a plan if we don't know what we're dealing with," Steve frowns.
"We know exactly what we're dealing with. You turned Vecna into wizard barbecue, but clearly, he's healed up and ready to come back for us," Dawn frowns.
"You did not include that in your explanation of the Upside Down," Gianna points to Sam, who shrugs.
"I gave you the Cliffs Notes," she defends.
"Why two days later?"
"Maybe he just needed time to heal," Steve suggests.
"El," Bianca coughs.
"What?" Everyone turns to the brunette, and El steps forward.
"He is here for me," she agrees. "He wants me."
"They might be right," Mike frowns. "He didn't start releasing the demodogs until we got to town and he waited until we were all split up to do it."
"But why not attack El straight on?" Lucas questions. "The only people at the hospital were me, Erica, Bianca, and... Max."
"It's Max," Dustin sits up.
"Maybe Vecna hasn't been at full capacity because Max is still alive," Will suggests.
