Snape Comfort Fic

(the last week of Christmas break)

I've been doing kinda better at eating, Snape was able to help me get to at least one full meal a day, but both me and him knew it was gonna crash back down when I got back to Hogwarts. (Haha, y'all thought the story was over)

I was sitting on the couch reading before Snape came out of his office and looked at me. "I have a meeting with Dumbledore and the other teachers at Hogwarts soon, would you like to come with me?" I shook my head and smiled. "I'll be ok on my own professor."
I set down the book I was reading and he gave me a stubborn look. "If you say so, try to eat lunch or dinner if I'm not back and please don't try and hurt yourself." I nodded and he sighed.

Eventually he left and I soon realized how much company he actually gave me. it was silent, very silent. I grunted before standing up and walking to his office, I opened it and shut the door behind me before turning on the two lamps provided a dim light in the room, and sat on the beanbag chair Snape had gotten me. I pulled my knees up and rested the book against them before starting to read it, allowing myself to zone out the world.

It felt like only 2 minutes passed before two people shouted my name really loud. I jolted and feared only the worst. I recognized those voices. Ma and my new pa.. my body froze and I dropped the book. "Lunaaa!" The voice grew closer, I could recognize it as my mom's new boyfriends voice, she met him a year before I left and honestly he was worse than my ma!..

I crawled to the door and clicked the lock slowly before turning off the lamps and crawling under Snape's desk, hugging my knees close to my chest while breathing heavily. My heart was racing and my eyes were starting to get watery. I heard a bang on the door and gasped quietly before the door swung open, and footsteps approached the dim room light by the hallway light.

I covered my mouth and started to cry. Please let it be Snape, please.. suddenly, a figure crouched in front of the desk and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the desk and up onto my feet. "Found her." The deep voice shoved me to the hallway and there was my mom, she stared at me, and I knew I was in some deep shit when I got home. If I got home.. "no! Please!! I don't want to go with them!!" I screamed and fought, my mom's boyfriend shoved me into my room and ordered me to start packing.

I looked around the room and cried harder. Please come back Snape.. he shoved me harder and I fell to my knees, i couldn't think. "Pack your stuff you useless cry baby!" He yelled at me and was absolutely furious. I gathered my stuff and looked at the window before quickly scribbling a note on and slipped it under the pillow before sliding out window with my stuff and ran as fast as I could. Malfoy. I took a corner and ran into a store before rushing to the girl at the counter.

"Is Mr Malfoy here?!" She looked at me and nodded before leading me to a small side room, knocking on the door. Draco opened it and his eyes immediately went wide when he saw me. "Lunar! What are you doing here you're supposed to be with Snape!" He pulled me close and pulled me into the room and set me on a chair.

I was shaking and still crying, trying to catch my breath as Draco was asking me a bunch of questions. I looked at Lucius and he looked back at me before replacing where draco was. "I'm gonna go find Snape, you stay here with them ok?." I nodded and shivered.

Snape arrived after an hour and quickly ran to me, he pulled me into a tight hug and sighed. "Lunar! There you are!.." I flinched and then embraced him back and started to cry again. "I..I'm sorry I..I-" he cut me off and sighed. "I know, I saw your note don't worry, I'm so sorry, I'm gonna make sure that never happens again ok?.." i nodded and sighed, i felt safe with him.

"A-are they still there?.." he shook his head and held me closer, explaining how he kicked them out the moment he arrived and immediately started looking for me, that's when he found the note, before Lucius ran into the room yelling for him. I looked over at Lucius and he was breathing heavily, he really did run huh?..

"Lun." I looked at Snape and he motioned towards my arms. I got extremely proud of myself, knowing I hadn't done anything but that quickly faded. Old ones. Snape noticed my hesitation and slowly rolled my sleeves up. I seen a smile stretch across his face, was he proud?.. Snape's smile faded and he looked up at me, giving me an approved nod.

"I'm proud of you kiddo, even when you were alone and In a stressful situation you stuck through and didn't hurt yourself." He smiled with his eyes and hugged me again. I felt warmth against me and let out a big exhale, I didn't realize how long I had been holding that in for. "Well, school is starting next week, and Dumbledore thinks your still gonna be able to sleep in your dorm room. What do you think?'

"Um.. I mean I'm ok with it but.." he knew what I was worried about, and immediately squashed it. "Don't worry, I'm gonna be administrating a sleeping potion at night to help you sleep and I'll be sleeping in the nearest room, I'll show you on our first day." I looked down. "W..what about my stuff in your house?.." he rubbed my cheek and tried to soothe me. "We're working on um, getting a legal action to keep you with me."

I snapped my head up and stared at him open eyes before starting to tear up. "A-actually?!.." he nodded and smiled.
