𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐘 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓?

"Spotify Playlist" Is a short free-verse poem diving into the topics of one-sided love and sacrifices. It portrays the philosophies of those who believe that to love is to sacrifice and to love is to let go and prioritize the other person's joy. It is for those who can't seem to confess due to selfless reasons. The poem is written straightforwardly, meant to depict the realistic and casual tone of the person struggling with indecisiveness about love. It covers subjects such as romance, heartbreaks, self-esteem, comparison, poignance, denial, inferiority, and a hint of sociotropy.

It started when I was listening to my spotify playlist, which mainly consisted of various romantic songs. It was a quiet, solemn night when my queue found itself on a particular song that resonated with me deeply. I felt emotional and felt compelled to write a poem based on those certain feelings. The song is about unrequited love and emotional selflessness, conveying a sad reality about acceptance. It expresses the feeling of sorrow while prioritizing the other person's well-being. I saw myself in a position where I chose to be hopeless rather than have someone I love take the role, so this poem was made in the perspective of someone deluded by love and self-esteem.

𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑'𝐒 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄

If you're in a state of inferiority, know that nothing will change if you stay as you are. Don't lose the chance to be with the person you're supposed to be. And most importantly, don't lose the chance to be the best you. If you think that you aren't enough, every single thing tells you that you are. And if you are rationally not enough, change for the better. Who knows, they might also be in love with you. There's a possiblity that both of you are equally scared and just not willing to admit it to each other.

We're always the better versions of who we were yesterday.
