𝓢𝓪𝓵𝓿𝓪𝓽𝓸𝓻𝓮'𝓼 𝓹𝓸𝓿:

The meadow stretched out like a sea of green, soft and endless, punctuated by bursts of wildflowers that swayed in the gentle breeze. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden glow that bathed everything in its warmth. And there she was-my Kailani, lying in the middle of it all, her body sprawled out lazily on the ground, as if she were a part of the earth itself.

I stopped where I stood, just watching her for a moment, trying to catch my breath at the sight of her. She didn't see me yet, lost in her own world, her eyes closed, a soft smile playing at her lips. The sun seemed to cling to her skin, giving her an almost ethereal glow. Her long hair spilled out around her, strands of it catching the light, shimmering like golden threads woven through the soft meadow grass. She looked like she belonged here, in this wild and untamed place-free, unburdened, and utterly beautiful.

She was my calm. My peace. And seeing her like this, with the world around us quiet and still, I could almost believe that everything was perfect. That we were perfect.

Her dress fluttered in the breeze, the thin fabric lifting slightly to reveal more of her bare legs, her feet resting gently against the soft grass. My heart ached at the sight of her delicate toes, the way her skin gleamed in the sunlight, soft and flawless. Everything about her drew me in, and I couldn't resist.

I took a slow step forward, careful not to startle her, and then another, until I was standing right beside her. Her eyes fluttered open, and when she saw me, her smile widened, a soft, sleepy giggle escaping her lips.

"Salvatore," she whispered, as if my name were a secret only she was allowed to say.

I couldn't speak. I didn't need to. Instead, I dropped to my knees beside her, my eyes trailing over her, drinking in every detail. Her lips, soft and pink, slightly parted as she breathed. Her skin, glowing like some kind of angel under the sunlight. And her eyes-those wide, innocent eyes that looked up at me with a trust that I would never deserve.

She was perfect. Too perfect for someone like me. But she was mine, and that thought alone made my chest swell with something I couldn't even begin to describe.

"Kailani..." I finally whispered, my voice rougher than I intended. I reached out, my fingers brushing against her cheek, feeling the warmth of her skin under my touch. She leaned into my hand, her eyes fluttering shut for just a second, as if she wanted to savor the moment.

"Lay with me," she said softly, her voice so sweet, it felt like honey dripping over my soul.

I didn't need to be told twice. I lay down beside her, my body sinking into the soft earth, the scent of wildflowers filling my senses. I shifted, moving so my head was at her feet, and without thinking, I pressed a soft kiss to the arch of her foot. Her skin was warm, smooth, and the simple act of kissing her feet sent a rush of something wild through me.

I kissed her again. And again. Each kiss softer than the last, reverent in a way that felt almost worshipful. Her toes curled slightly with each touch, and she giggled, the sound light and airy, like music. My chest tightened at the sound, the pure innocence of it almost too much for me to handle.

I couldn't stop. I kissed her feet over and over again, each kiss deeper than the last, my lips moving slowly over her skin, savoring the taste of her. She shifted slightly, a soft sigh escaping her lips as she stretched out, her body arching just slightly as if inviting me closer.

I couldn't help myself-I wanted all of her.

With a low growl, I shifted, rolling over onto my stomach and crawling up the length of her body, pressing soft kisses to her legs, her thighs, her hips, before finally resting my head against her stomach. She giggled again, her hands coming down to run through my hair, her fingers combing through the strands in soft, slow motions that sent shivers down my spine.

"You're always so gentle," she whispered, her voice soft and full of wonder.

I didn't respond, not with words. Instead, I pressed my lips to the bare skin of her stomach, tasting her warmth, inhaling the sweet scent of her that mingled with the wildflowers around us. She wiggled slightly, her giggles filling the air, and I couldn't help but smile against her skin.

She was everything. And in moments like this, I felt it more than ever. She was my everything, my anchor, the only thing that kept me grounded in a world that felt like it could tear me apart at any moment. And here, in this field, with her soft laughter and her gentle hands caressing me, I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time-peace.

But that peace was short-lived because the moment she shifted, her body rolling out from under me, teasing me with a grin, my desire for her sparked into something hotter, more desperate. She squealed in surprise as I grabbed her by the waist, rolling her over onto her back as I hovered above her.

She looked up at me, her eyes wide and playful, her lips parted in surprise.

I grinned down at her, from beneath the mask, my eyes squinting from the expression, and she laughed, a soft, breathless sound as she wriggled under me, trying to escape. But I wasn't about to let her go. Not now. Not ever.

"Salvatore!" she laughed, her voice high and breathless as I pinned her to the ground, my hands gripping her wrists gently but firmly above her head. "You're not playing fair!"

"Fair?" I murmured, lowering my head to press a soft kiss to her collarbone, then her neck, my lips trailing up to the curve of her jaw.

She giggled again, her body writhing under mine, but it wasn't long before her giggles turned into soft moans, her body melting under my touch as I pulled the mask ever further above my mouth as I kissed my way back down her neck, savoring the feel of her soft skin against my lips.

But then, with a sudden burst of energy, she squirmed out from under me, laughing as she ran off through the field, her dress swirling around her legs, her hair flying behind her like a golden halo.

For a moment, I just sat there, watching her run, my chest tight with something I could only describe as awe. She looked like a dream-free and wild, her laughter filling the air, her feet barely touching the ground as she danced through the flowers.

But I couldn't let her get away.

With a low huff, I took off after her, my feet pounding against the earth as I chased her through the meadow. She laughed, looking over her shoulder at me.
She was fast, her body light and quick as she darted through the flowers, but I wasn't about to let her slip away.

I caught her by the waist, spinning her around and pulling her back against me, her laughter echoing in my ears as I held her tight. She turned in my arms, her hands gripping my shirt as she looked up at me, her eyes bright with joy.

We tumbled to the ground together, our bodies crashing into the soft grass, her giggles filling the air as I rolled her over onto her back, pinning her down once more. But this time, there was no escape.

I pressed my forehead against hers, our breaths mingling as we lay there, our bodies tangled together, her legs wrapped around mine. She smiled up at me, her eyes soft and full of love, and I couldn't help but pull my mask up and lean down to kiss her-softly this time, slow and gentle, savoring the feel of her lips against mine.

She sighed into the kiss, her hands coming up to cup my face, her fingers tracing the lines of my jaw, my cheekbones, my lips. It was such a tender gesture, so full of love and care, that it made my heart ache in the best way possible.

We lay there for what felt like hours, the sun slowly dipping lower in the sky, the world around us fading into nothing as I lost myself in her touch, her warmth, her love.

Eventually, we sat up, and I pulled her into my lap, her back pressed against my chest as I rested my chin on her shoulder, my arms wrapped around her waist. She leaned back against me, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on my arm, her head resting against mine as we watched the sun sink lower and lower, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold.

She tilted her head to kiss the top of my head, her lips soft and warm against my skin, and I closed my eyes, savoring the moment, memorizing every detail of her, of this, of us.

"Stay with me," she whispered, her voice soft and full of hope.

"Always," I murmured against her skin, pressing a kiss to her shoulder, my heart swelling with...love, only for her.
