We looked at each other like very old acquaintances, but strangers at the same time. It is barely possible to recognize him. He wore a blue suit, a black shirt exposed a little of his chest, his blond hair was parted, an earring in his ear and a chain around his neck added sexiness. Several tattoos adorned his fingers:
- Do you know each other? -  Mr. Damen finally let go of my hand and that drew my attention to him. He looked at me then at Jimin.
- Yeah, - Jimin nodded before I could say anything.
- We used to know each other, -  I corrected him and looked at Mr. Damen. - Mr. Damen...
- Call me George, - he cut me off, a strange smile plastered on his face as he looked at Jimin.
- George, - I addressed him by name, -, if possible let's postpone my presentation to another hour, you're busy, -  I briefly glanced at Jimin who was still here.
- Wouldn't another day be suitable?
- I will present myself to another company tomorrow, so...
- No, - I don't know who he objected to, - then, so that I don't lose, maybe a good landscape architect, I will take your presentation now, - he pointed to the monitor and then looked at Jimin, - if Mr. Park waits for me, - he laughed.
- I will listen together. - he passed us, looking at me strangely and sat down on a chair.
- Great. - I muttered.
Mr. Damen also sat down near Jimin and watched me with a smile. I connected the projector, found my flash drive in my handbag and inserted it into the computer. I tried to ignore the fact that two sexy men were watching me. I cannot deny the fact. I'm getting hot from this atmosphere...

- ...I think I am determined and creative enough to start working with you, - I finished my speech.
- Good, -  Mr. George clapped his hands and stood up. - you are accepted not only because of your beauty, but also because of your excellent presentation, I really hope we will get along well. - he held out his hands and I held out mine. I smiled as I shook his hand and  he shook mine. Jimin was silent. Although I could just feel his constant gaze on me throughout the presentation. An ass.
After packing up and turning off the projector, I turned to George:
- Then I'll start from tomorrow? -  I looked at him questioningly while he was talking to Jimin with a smile. Although Jimin's face was without a smile.
- Maybe start right away? - he looked at me and at Jimin again.
- Okay, of course, - I nodded.
Maybe it's my day today?
- Now it's lunch time, so you have a free hour, - he looked at the watch on his arm. - see you in an hour, - he smiled.
I nodded. Without another word, I left the office. At least I won't have to see HIM for an hour. I wonder if he works here at all? Maybe I will see him here all the time and I agreed to work here too quickly? I don't even know how to act..
When I went outside, I took a deep breath and only now realized how tense and a little shaky I was. Outside I was greeted by warmer weather than in the morning. The watch on my hand showed half past eleven, which means I had to return to work at half past twelve. I looked around and headed to the cafe on the right. About Starbucks I was already know, coffee and donut should make me feel better. I wonder how things will end with my once best friend...

I ordered a latte and a croissant with caramel, sat down at the table and waited for my order and watched the people hurrying through the window. I think I'm doing pretty well for my first day in London. I already have a job related to a profession that I adore. If I hadn't suddenly seen Jimin, it would have been even better. I don't even know how to communicate with him:
- Eli? - a male voice from the left ruined me even more. Why?
- Jimin, - I looked in his direction. I was angry.
- Nice to see you. After all this time. - without even asking, he sat down in front of me. His face didn't look like he was very pleased to see me.
- Yes, a lot of time - I emphasized the word ,, a lot,, and looked out the window. The waitress brought my order.
- I want coffee. Latte, - he said coldly to the waitress. She nodded.
After she left the table, I drank my coffee. I don't want to talk to him, I have nothing to say to him. Although I have, but if I start I don't think I will be able to stop and then it will only make me worse.
- How are you? - he continued to look at me. I felt his gaze constantly.
- Great, - half a lie, - do you work for that company? - I raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
- No, - answered coldly. I don't recognize this guy.
- Great. - I nodded and continued drinking coffee. I took a bite of a croissant. I tried not to think about him, although his gaze never left me.
- Don't you have anything else to tell me? - he asked again.
- No.
-, I think there's something to talk about after all these years, - he licked his lips a little and bit his lower lip. He's nervous, at least it's not gone.
- You didn't care as much as I did all these years, and now you're sitting in front of me and you think you can just ask questions? - I was angry at him, although my heart was just beating like crazy. I miss him.
- You didn't care as much as I did, I don't feel guilty, - he spat. How dare he?
- Are you kidding me?! - I raised my voice a little and looked around, - I write so much... it doesn't matter. - I waved my hand at him and stood up after taking the handbag. I don't have to explain to him.
-, Eli, you can't leave like that, -  he grabbed my hand as I walked past him.
- Watch me, - I pulled my hand out of his grip and walked out the door of the cafe. I went straight to the company.
How can he say I wasn't interested? Is he joking? What about letters? How many letters did I send him? And I didn't get a single response! He is incredible. And now he blame me. Awesome!!
I entered the company and tried to calm down at least a little. I was seething with anger inside. He really pissed me off. I have loved him since the old days, but seeing him for the first time after so many years makes me feel angry. I think people are right when they say that love does not last forever.
- Hello, you must be Elena? - a girl of my height with black hair approached me. A smile graced her face.
-, Hi, just Eli, - I corrected her. My name is known in the world, but it is pronounced differently in different countries.
- I'm Julia, it's nice - she extended her hand to me and I shook it. - I'm Mr. Damen's assistant, just like yours now, since you're his right hand, - she smiled.
- Right hand? - I raised an eyebrow.
- That's how he introduced you, - she nodded. - let me show you your office, - she pointed her hand to the right side.
- Are mine and Mr. George's offices next to each other? - I asked her while walking down the corridor.
- Mr. Damen's office is upstairs, -, she pointed up, - but he's usually in the meeting room, -  she opened the door and let me in first, and we went up the stairs.
- How many meeting rooms do you have? - I don't think that the one I was in is his "office".
- Three, first at the entrance, meetings are held there if the other offices are occupied. - she opened the door under the left side again and we passed through it again, then she stopped, - another office is on the second floor where you or other bosses can hold meetings with the employees, also Mr. Damen himself often attends, and the other is on his floor, there Mr. Damen meets with the mediatorsor and partners, - she looked at me, gesticulating with her hands while explaining.
- Understood, -  I nodded to her. I need to put this information in my  head.
- Here is your office, - she opened the glass door. There was a window through the wall that provided light and coziness. I won't be locked in and I won't have an attack of claustrophobia, - you can see some of  colleagues from here, - she pointed further through the glass. From my office there was a corridor path and then a part of the wall, behind the wall you could see people working.
- Great, - I nodded.
- If you need me, call me on the phone by pressing one, or call me by name, - she smiled and turned to leave.
- I have a small question, - I looked around, she closed the glass door and turned to me, - should...first of all, let's address each other as "you", because it's very strange to communicate like this. - I laughed.
- Of course, - she nodded.
- Do you... - I didn't know how to ask without causing suspicion, - maybe you know which partner I will need to work with? - I asked a completely different question. I will find out about Jimin next time.
- Now the biggest partner is one, he is the only important one for us, so I think with him, - she scratched her head, - others are not as important as this one, - she smiled.
- Thank you, - I nodded and sighed.
She nodded and left the office. I sat down on the chair behind the table and looked around. The cabinet was empty, no flower or picture. The table was large enough, with a lamp and several binders on it. To the left was a brown cabinet full of binders and books. On the right side was a small armchair next to a table. A simple cozy cabinet. Of course, with the glass wall you can't do anything, , but I think I'll bring some flowers here for myself.
My phone rang, I took out my purse and found it:
- I'm listening? - Mila called.
- Hello, how are you? - her voice was somehow strange.
- Normal, -  I sighed, I think I'll tell her about Jimin at home, - how about you?
- I don't know how to tell you. - she laughed - I'll tell you at home.
- Of course - I nodded, although she didn't see it. There was a knock on my office door and I looked up to see Mr. Damen - I have to go Mila. Good luck, - without waiting for her answer, I put the phone on the table. Nodding to Mr. Damen, I stood up.
- Eli, today is your first day at work, and you will already get a job to do,  - he sat down on the armchair, I sat back on the chair.
- It's amazing, work hasn't hurt anyone yet, - I smiled, he smiled back.
- Great, get ready and go to our partner's company, discuss the work, what they want to see, in which places, clarify what and why is not suitable for them, if you see that it is not suitable fix it, and prepare the project, - he said everything while looking at me.
- Of course - I stood up, put the phone in my purse.
- Eli, - he stood up after I walked around the table, - be careful and try not to disappoint him, -  he smirked. I nodded.
I left the office.
It means our partner is a man. I think everything will be fine. I don't know if I will be able to please them right away. True! Address, I don't have an address! I went down the stairs and headed for the front desk, but Julia appeared just in time.
- Jules! - I groaned and raised my hand. She immediately approached me - I need the address of our partner's company, he...
- Here, -  she took a small card from the front desk and handed it to me.
- I owe you, - passing her, I walked towards the exit with a quick step. I have to hurry.
Luckily a taxi was nearby and I didn't have to waste time calling one. I got in and showed the card to the driver:
- I know the company, - he nodded.
As the car moved, I looked at the card. The white card was decorated with the letter P. and under it was written "Afterlife". I think it's the name of the company. A little weird, but of course not for me to decide. I didn't even have time to research what the company was when we stopped:
- Here, - the driver turned to me.
- Short trip, thank you very much. - I gave him ten pounds and got out of the car.
The company building had several floors like the one where I work, only this one had a much nicer design. Bright and spacious. Pleasant environment. I hope for nice people, I guess I will spend a lot of time here anyway. I took a deep breath and went inside.
Opening the brown door and entering I was greeted by a company waiting room with a receptionist, she stood up as I entered. I looked around and unlike at our company, there were a lot of plants here, they gave me comfort. Under the left side there were armchairs with tables:
- Good afternoon, have you agreed? - she turned to me.
- Hello, no, I came... - I didn't know exactly the name of my workplace, - I'm  Mr. Damen's landscape architect, - I smiled at her. I hope to sneak through.
- Ah yes, - she nodded, - wait, - after I nodded, she left through the glass door inside the company.
Why didn't I remember the name of the company I work for? I will have to stick it in my head and never forget it. First mistake.
When the receptionist returned, she smiled at me:
- You will be accepted, you just have to wait about five minutes, - she pointed to the sofas behind me.
- Of course - I nodded.
As I understand this company boss is also not very responsible or he is very stubborn. Before I could sit down, another young girl ran into the room, she looked around and saw me and ran immediately:
- I'm sorry that you had to wait, let's go, I'll accompany you, - her smile was not very sincere, it seems that she recently suffered some bad event.
- I didn't wait long. Thank you, - I smiled at her and followed her.
We passed the glass door and entered another, more spacious room. Straight ahead was the stairs to the second floor, under the left side was another room, also with a glass door. When she turned to the right through a simple door, I followed her. It seemed to be a staff area, there were quite a few people here and lots of desks next to each other with computers and all kinds of drawings. We passed them and she stopped at the closed wall and knocked:
- Come in, -  said a man's voice, and she pushed open the door. Interesting door.
- Mr. Park, Miss Emerson has come to you, - I did not move after her words, Mr. Who? Maybe the universe is mocking me?
As she entered, I entered as well.
- Thank you Hana, -  he was standing next to a chair behind a very large table, looking directly at me. Hana turned and left the office.
Unfortunately for me, it was HIM. Jimin. The famous Park Jimin.
- Mr. Park, - I didn't smile at him, I can't forget what I suffered because of him.
- Miss Emerson, - he nodded and smiled...
