The entrance to the courtyard and the courtyard itself were large. I couldn't see anything in the dark, the sky was still shining. I stopped at the building closer to the door, or at least in my opinion the entrance, and turned off the engine of the car:
- Can you go? - I turned to Jimin and unbuckled the seat belt.
- I don't think so, - he mumbled and tried to sit up straight, but he struggled.
I opened the car door and got out. After walking around the car, I approached the passenger side, the door opened a little. I opened them wider and leaned towards Jimin:
- Hug me, - I took his hand and carefully placed it over my shoulders. He slowly stood up, I tried to support his weight and not trip, it seems that he is trying not to lean on me completely. Grabbing his torso, pulling him a little further, I put my foot on the car door and closed it. Jimin looked at me, but I had no choice but to turn to him:
- Let's go, - I mumbled and led him towards the stairs.
He climbed the four steps easier than I expected and we reached the door, a wild lamp came on, - keys? - I let go of his hand that was on my shoulder and turned a little towards him.
- In my pocket, - he looked down, no matter how hard he tried to look strong his facial expression betrayed him. He was really in pain.
I checked his jacket pockets, but there was nothing there.
- In my pants pocket, - he mumbled and frowned.
I glanced at him while he was looking at me. I carefully reached into his pants pocket and grabbed the keys and pulled them out. I couldn't breathe normally from all this atmosphere.
Grabbing the only key that looked like a house key, I suddenly unlocked the lock.
Approaching the door, I opened it wide and let Jimin inside. He paused and reached out to press the button:
- Straight and to the right, - he carefully took off his shoes, and I did the same. Tightening his hand on my shoulders I moved forward. Jimin's movements were even slower, he barely dragged his feet. Turning to the right, he opened the door on the left with his left hand. In the blinding darkness, he moved forward on his own, so I followed his movements while holding him. When he reached the bed he put his hands on it and I carefully released him from my arms, - I... - he mumbled, but I ignored his words and groped for the button on the desk lamp. When I found it, I pressed it and a dim light lit up the room.
Jimin was sitting on the edge of the bed looking at me, one hand leaning on the bed and the other gripping the side:
- You need to lie down, - I stood up and helped him take off his jacket.
- I can do it myself, - he frowned, but with my help he pulled his hands out of his sleeves.
- Of course - I rolled my eyes.
- Eli.. - he took my hand, - you can go home.
He wanted me to leave. I think he would like it better if it were Olivia instead of me.
- Lie down, - I ignored his words and pulled my hand out of his. He was still looking at me while I avoided his eyes.
- I'm fine, - Jimin supported himself with both hands and slowly put both legs on the bed, I fixed the pillows behind his back and he lay down. He looked tired, blinking slowly as he stared at me while I fetched a blanket from a nearby chair. I covered him up a bit.
- I think you should go to the hospital, - I sat a little next to him on the edge of the bed. Closing his eyes, he shook his head to the side, - what happened there?
- I lost control of the motorcycle when one of the riders hit me on the track, - his voice was quiet, almost a whisper. He didn't open his eyes as he said the words.
Jimin seems to have changed more than I expected. He never raced, especially on a motorcycle. When we were friends, he didn't hide anything from me and let me be by his side no matter what troubles surrounded him. And now he doesn't want me here. He doesn't want me to help him. When I arrived, he was angry with me and V. I thought that the shining eyes were happy about my arrival, but it turns out I was wrong. Again.
- How long have you been racing? - I mumbled looking at his calm face. His left hand was on his stomach and his right at his side. His hair was tangled, his cheek was slightly smeared and scratched, and the front of his white tank top had a few black spots, but even so, he looked attractive.
He didn't answer me, he just lay there quietly. I knew he was awake. His body was tense and his forehead kept frowning.
I sighed.
After getting up from the bed, I looked around the room, there was a door under the left side of the bed. When I approached and opened them, the light turned on. The white glowing bathroom just shone with cleanliness. When I got to the sink, I hung a white towel from the hanger and put half of it under the water stream. I turned around and went back to the room. Jimin was lying just as I had left him. When I got to the bed, I sat in the same place and carefully touched his face with the wet corner of the towel. Carefully, not wanting to catch him, I cleaned his forehead and went down to the cheek that was injured. I carefully rounded his scratches and folded the towel in half. Jimin opened his eyes after touching the other cheek with a towel. Ignoring his gaze, I cupped his cheek and chin. After folding the towel, I swiped his neck several times . Jimin's adam's apple twitched:
- You should change your clothes, - I put the towel on the nearby table.
- I don't want to, - he shook his head and slowly sat up.
- But... - my words were interrupted when he frowned and took off his shirt in one sudden movement and threw it on the ground. There was a palm-sized bruise on his side. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I looked at his half-naked trained body.
- Jimin, - a female voice came from the door and we both looked at her. Olivia stood in the doorway.
- What are you doing here? - Jimin's voice was cold, but not angry.
- I was worried about you, - Olivia looked at me then at him and entered the room.
- I'm fine, you can go home, - I turned to him after his words, - Eli, go home, - he ordered again. This is his thanks to me.
Wrapped in the blanket, he turned away.
I looked at Olivia standing at the back of the bed and then at Jimin.
I nodded. Without saying anything, I turned and just walked out of the room. If he doesn't want me here I have to leave. I would never force him to do what he doesn't want and I can't force him.
I went through a room that looked like a living room. I kicked into my sneakers as I reached the door, Olivia's high heels was next to me. It seems that their relationship is more serious than I thought.
I went out the door. I was angry. At him. And most of all at myself. When I promised myself not to interfere in his life and avoid him as much as possible, I did the opposite. He has changed, and so have I. Of course, when you have a girlfriend, you don't want even a friend to be around. After all, that's what a girlfriend is for. Any guesses or signals from him were only friendly. He has no feelings for me. Friend. I am his friend and nothing will change that.
I almost ran out of his yard. When I turned a corner, I was blinded by the light of a car and it stopped next to me:
- Eli, - Mila came to me after getting out of the car.
- Let's go home, - I mumbled. I opened the back door and got into the car. I could feel V's gaze but he didn't say anything. After Mila got into the car, we left the place. After passing the gate, I looked towards his yard. Olivia's car was parked in the yard and the gate closed before my eyes....

A sudden crash made me jump from my seat. I visited the site:
- It's just me here, sorry I broke the glass, - I looked at the kitchen where Mila was standing and looking at me.
- It's okay, - I mumbled and turned my head to the side. This sofa is not designed for sleeping.
When Tae took us home, I immediately went upstairs. Mila did not return for some time. I sat in the living room drinking tea, driving myself crazy with thinking about Jimin and Olivia until I finally fell asleep on the couch.
- I didn't want to wake you up, - Mila came to me and put a cup of coffee on the table.
- Everything is fine, - I yawned and looked at the clock on the wall. It was half past eleven.
- I brought your phone and wallet, they were in the V car, - she pointed to my things on the table. I nodded, - besides, someone wrote to you several times, - she smiled as she walked towards the kitchen.
I sighed and ran my hands over my face.
I took my phone from the table and unlocked it. Two messages flashed on the phone.
"Hello, let's meet for lunch, I'll be at your house at 1 pm" - it was George. It seems that he did not forget our meeting.
The next message was from an unknown number:
"Thanks for your help, Jimin is sleeping and feeling better, Olivia."
I read the message several times and got more and more angry.
I'm a complete fool!

- You're even more beautiful today than usual, - George held out his hand to me and I squeezed it gently. He gestured to the chair in front of him and I sat down smiling at him. I hung the handbag on the back of the chair.
Within three hours I was ready to meet George. I don't know why but black has been my favorite color lately, black leather pants, black blouse, black belt and accessories look pretty good on me. With Mila's words, all men will melt, although I am not trying to melt anyone. In Korea, my clothes were a little different, here I can afford to dress as I want.
George came and took me to a fancy place, looks like he wants to perform in front of me.
- You wanted to meet me for work? - I looked at him and took a glass of water.
- Maybe we should eat first? - he smirked and raised his hand looking behind me, then looked back at me, - how do you like London? - leaned back in the chair.
- It takes time to get used to it, - I smiled and drank some water, put the glass back on the table and the waiter came to us.
- Yes sir, - the boy smiled looking at George.
- We have snacks and... - he turned to me, - what do you want, Eli?
- I want a salad, - I smiled at the boy who turned away.
- We can offer caesar salad, capri salad or...
- Caesar, - I interrupted him, - and banana juice, - I smiled.
- I'll have a roast beef, - George looked at the waiter and then at me.
The boy nodded and walked away from the table.
- You're well built, you could use some meat, - George laughed.
- I'm not hungry, - I smiled back at him, - before I met you, I was still thinking about whether I want to meet or not, - after my words, his smile decreased a little.
- You are in a bad mood, - he nodded to himself, - well, if you let me, I promise to cheer you up after our lunch, - he smiled widely.
- I don't know if I want to do anything, - I shifted in my chair, - I'll see you at work tomorrow, - I smiled at him. I had no desire to go somewhere with him, no matter how attractive he is, he does not attract me.
- At the end of the week, a short business trip is expected, - this time his face looked more serious than before, - you, as our landscape architect, will have to go together.
- I am a completely new person...
- In this kind of business, no one cares if you're new or old, - George interrupted me, - you showed your skills by sketching a project that was very important, it looks like Jimin will be awarded again, - he rolled his eyes. Seeing that I was watching him with a raised eyebrow, he laughed.
- Are you and Jimin partners? - after I spoke, the waiter came to us with our food. Without speaking, he put the food on the table and after wishing it was delicious, he left the table.
- Jimin and I have known each other for four years, - he took the fork and knife in his hands, - when he came here I helped him realize his dream, although I admit he was very talented, - he laughed, - less than a year later he opened a company in it his friends also invested, - George's facial expression slightly has changed, - then he turned his back on me, but because I helped him, he included me in his business and thirty percent of the shares belong to me, - the whole time he did not look at me, - over time, we cooled down, he felt the power and became my boss, the company where I work and where do you work, - he looked to me, - belongs to Jimin, that kid has achieved a lot, but fame has ruined him, - he gave me a little smirk.
I didn't answer him, I just sat quietly listening to him and didn't know if I could believe him.
- Everything that happens to us is not your problem, Eli, let's eat, - George smiled and started cutting his steak.
I picked up a fork and knife and put the salad in my mouth, rethinking his words.
Even though George's story sounds like the truth, I, who have known Jimin for twenty years, can't believe that he would betray someone who helped him so much. Hasn't he completely changed after feeling the money and fame? Maybe that's why he's so cold? He has shown me many times over the last few days how rich he is. His car, the company, the trip to the ranch - all just an attempt to show off? Racing and all so far it's just a show? Why?
Isn't he a completely different person than I remember?
