The cafe played one of my many favorite classical pieces. Luckily this time I brought a book with me to kill some time. As I was intrigued into reading the new work of my favorite author, The Moonlight Demon, a familiar voice caught my attention.
"Those bastards Larove. Even in death, Cassandra continues to anger me! Olivia, will your family lawyer win against them?"
I heard that woman sigh.
"It's hard to say. Larove has endless resources when it comes to people to protect themselves." I smiled before leaning back to my seat, pretending to read the book I am holding.
"Are you saying your family couldn't do anything to fight them back? Look at me! I was left naked in front of your house, unconscious! That bitch needs to pay!" Olivia tries to calm Verona down but it's not working.
"Honey, keep your voice down. You know what, let's just focus on our wedding. That might keep you busy for a while." Wedding? They are getting married?!
When that woman was with me, she often said she was not ready to marry! So what gives! Wait- I need to calm down.
